Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Warren gained 11 yards on seven carries against the New England Patriots on Thursday, Dec. 7. In addition, he was targeted five times as a receiver, catching four passes for 29 yards in the loss.
Huddle Up: To say the shine has worn off following the firing of Matt Canada would be an understatement. While that's a team-wide phenomenon, perhaps no one's momentum was more adversely affected than Warren, who'd logged three consecutive 100-plus-yard efforts prior to Canada's dismissal. In three games since, Warren has averaged 56 total yards without a touchdown. Warren, who seemed to be approaching RB2/RB3 status, now looks better situated as a flex.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Warren leads all qualified rushers by averaging a broken tackle every 6.2 rush attempts, according to Pro Football Reference.
Huddle Up: David Montgomery ranks second at 8.4, which proves just how difficult Warren has been to bring down this season. If Warren can maintain this rate, it will be the best mark in the NFL since Alvin Kamara broke a tackle every 5.9 carries in 2019. Warren has not quite reached must-start status in fantasy, but managers would need to be in great shape at the position to leave him on the bench. He should be in starting lineups across the board in Week 12 as he takes a three-game streak of posting at least 100 total yards into Cincinnati to face the Bengals.
