San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel is projected to start opposite WR Dante Pettis, according to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco, who says the team will slide incumbent starting WR Marquise Goodwin into a smaller role to maximize his speed.
Huddle Up: Rookie receivers typically get overblown, but if Samuel starts in an offense designed by Kyle Shanahan and triggered by Jimmy Garoppolo you'd have to give him some late-round flier consideration.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (calf) didn't practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: If he plays, Goodwin will have a chance to end his 2018 season on a high note given the lack of playmakers San Francisco has right now with both Matt Breida and Dante Pettis already declared out. If Goodwin can't go, Kendrick Bourne would get a sizable boost and qualify at least as a WR4.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (calf, Achilles') is not practicing Wednesday, Dec. 26.
Huddle Up: Dante Pettis isn't playing this week, so Goodwin would ideally see plenty of targets if he were to play. If he is ruled out then George Kittle would be due for even more looks as top-tier TE1.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (calf) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 14 and he is listed as questionable for the Week 15 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Goodwin returned last week for two grabs and 20 yards on his two targets in his return after a month-long absence. He is a risky fantasy option this weekend, so avoid him unless you're in dire straits at the wide receiver position.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (calf) was added to the injury report Thursday, Dec. 13, as he was limited in practice.
Huddle Up: Given Goodwin's injury woes this season, it's concerning to see him added to the injury report in the middle of the week, but at least he was able to practice, suggesting he'll be able to suit up on Sunday. He's somewhere between a WR3 and WR4, though owners should try and roll with someone more consistent for their fantasy postseason matchup.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (personal) rejoined the team Monday, Dec. 3, and is expected to be available for the Week 14 game.
Huddle Up: Goodwin has missed the last two games because of a personal issue but appears to be on track to play against the Denver Broncos. He likely will be the main option in the passing game but may only be a flex option in some leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (personal) did not practice again Thursday, Nov. 29.
Huddle Up: Goodwin looks like he's going to end up being a game-time decision. Even if he does play, though, he's not a recommended play for most leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (personal) was not at practice Wednesday, Nov. 28.
Huddle Up: Goodwin is coming off one of his best games of the year, hauling in four of five targets for 69 yards last Sunday in Tampa. However, his ceiling has been so low this year without Jimmy Garoppolo that he's probably someone to sit even if he does suit up this week.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (non-injury) has been added to the injury report for the Week 12 game because of a personal issue and is listed as doubtful.
Huddle Up: It appears like the 49ers will be without Goodwin and Pierre Garcon this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so Kendrick Bourne, Dante Pettis and Trent Taylor likely will be the main options at receiver for the 49ers. None of the receivers are great fantasy options, but Bourne could be a flex option in some deeper leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin (head) briefly exited on two occasions in the team's Week 10 game Monday, Nov. 12, opposite the New York Giants. Goodwin initially departed following a catch late in the third quarter due to a hit to the helmet from LB Alec Ogletree. He returned in the beginning of the fourth quarter, and after a pass that deflected off his hands that led to an interception, Goodwin was slow to get up and went back into the medical tent for observation before returning late in the quarter.
Huddle Up: Goodwin actually fared pretty well Monday, amassing his second-highest yardage total (69 yards) of the campaign while tying a season high with five targets. The fact he was able to return to the game in both instances in which he had to exit probably means he won't have to miss any time, especially with the 49ers having their bye week coming up.
