Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard could be a cap casualty this offseason, according to Joe Goodberry of The Athletic. The Bengals would save $2.8 million in cap space by releasing Bernard.
Huddle Up: There was a point in his career when Bernard was a true complementary piece in the Cincinnati backfield and a solid flex option in PPR formats. With Joe Mixon now monopolizing the touches, Bernard will be no more than a handcuff if he remains with the Bengals.

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) was diagnosed with a knee sprain Monday, Nov. 11. He is not expected to miss significant time, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) was able to return to the Week 10 game after missing some time because of a knee injury.
Huddle Up: Benard receives a handful of touches in each game but has not been a big factor in the offense. He can be avoided in all fantasy leagues unless Joe Mixon suffers an injury.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 10 game and is considered doubtful to return.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if Bernard will miss any more time because of the injury. Joe Mixon would receive almost all of the work at running back if Bernard misses time and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard ran four times for no gain while adding two grabs for four yards on three targets in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: Bernard is simply not doing enough to warrant fantasy consideration in most leagues, even PPR formats where he had been a staple for many years. The Bengals meet the Rams in London in Week 8.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed four times for just four yards in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens while adding two catches for 20 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Bernard was once one of the better receivers out of the backfield and a strong PPR fantasy play, but he is only worth using in the deepest of leagues at this point. The Bengals host the Jaguars in Week 7.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed twice for 10 yards in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals and he added three grabs for 16 yards on his three targets.
Huddle Up: Bernard is simply used to spell starter Joe Mixon while seeing time occasionally in passing situations. Unless something happens to Mixon you should avoid Bernard outside of the deepest of PPR formats. The Bengals travel to meet the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard rushed just one for three yards and he added four grabs for 16 yards on six targets in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday, Sept. 30.
Huddle Up: Bernard steps in to give Joe Mixon a breather in the run game while seeing snaps in passing situations. As long as Mixon is healthy there is very little fantasy appeal for Bernard outside of deeper PPR leagues. The Bengals host the Cardinals in Week 5.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard signed a two-year, $10.3 million extension Tuesday, Sept. 3. He received a raise to $5.9 million in 2019 and $11 million over two seasons. He receives a guaranteed $600,000 bonus in March.
Huddle Up: Bernard has some RB5 pop in PPR leagues, but he isn't utilized enough to be much more than a handcuff to Joe Mixon.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (hamstring) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 12.
Huddle Up: Bernard is on track to be the No. 2 running back for the Bengals and should have a role in the passing game. He could be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues against favorable matchups this season.
