Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell completed 24-of-34 passes for 214 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while running four times for 13 yards.
Huddle Up: The 26-year-old completed 63.4% of his passes for 1,612 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions in nine games. He was a bit injury-prone, and it's likely the team will decide he isn't the long-term answer. The Raiders have a high draft pick after a 4-13 season, so it's likely the team looks to improve the quarterback position.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell completed 20 of 35 attempts for 242 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions at the New Orleans Saints in Week 17 on Sunday, Dec. 29. He ran three times for minus-one yard and was sacked once.
Huddle Up: The Los Angeles Chargers are next on Vegas' schedule, and LA has a postseason spot locked up but can move into the No. 5 seed with a win and Pittsburgh loss, so it will be interesting to see if defensive starters rest. O'Connell is a quality option if the Bolts opt to rest and a fringe consideration otherwise.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell ended up completing 24-of-38 passes for 257 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he also ran seven times for 12 yards.
Huddle Up: O'Connell did next to nothing in this victory, but at least he didn't have any silly miscues. He remains nothing more than a low-end QB2 in deeper fantasy leagues heading into Week 17 in New Orleans.

Las Vegas Raiders OG Jordan Meredith (ankle) did not take part in practice on Friday, Dec. 20, and is doubtful for Week 16. Also, CB Sam Webb (back, illness), LB Kana'i Mauga (illness) and CB Nate Hobbs (illness) did not take part in practice and are questionable, and RB Alexander Mattison (neck), WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle), QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) and QB Desmond Ridder (hip) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) practiced in full for the third straight day on Friday, Dec. 20, and was removed from the Week 16 injury report.
Huddle Up: O'Connell is on the desperation QB2 play radar this week in a soft matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. More importantly, he gives a boost to all Raiders pass-catchers after an abysmal showing by Desmond Ridder last week.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) practiced in full for a third straight day on Friday, Dec. 20, and is expected to start in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: While this news does not directly affect any fantasy manager outside of those in two-quarterback/superflex leagues, O'Connell's return should be good news for Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. Even in a plus matchup, O'Connell can be left on waivers in one-quarterback leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) practiced in full for the second consecutive day on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Huddle Up: O'Connell will return to his starting job and does have a soft matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, but he simply hasn't been consistent enough to trust in lineups. He is, however, a massive upgrade for all Raiders pass-catchers after Desmond Ridder stunk up the joint in Week 15.

Las Vegas Raiders OG Jordan Meredith (ankle) did not take part in practice on Thursday, Dec. 19. Also, WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) and CB Sam Webb (back) were limited and RB Alexander Mattison (neck), QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) and QB Desmond Ridder (hip) practiced in full.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Huddle Up: O'Connell likely will regain his starting job if he is able to play in the Week 16 game. Fantasy players should have better options available and can avoid O'Connell in all leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell (knee) is "trending upwards to playing this week," according to head coach Antonio Pierce.
Huddle Up: With Desmond Ridder once again proving he is little more than an average NFL backup at best in Monday night's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, fantasy managers of Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers likely cannot wait for O'Connell to return. If he can make it back, he could be a viable - albeit desperate - alternative against the league's most forgiving defense against quarterbacks in the Jacksonville Jaguars.
