Los Angeles Chargers QB Max Duggan will have a chance to earnt he No. 2 quarterback job, according to general manager Tom Telesco. "He has some skills to work with and give him a chance to come in and compete," Telesco said. "If you've seen him play through the course of his career, he just has that grittiness and toughness that's just hard to find."

Los Angeles Chargers third-round draft choice LB Daiyan Henley (Washington State), fourth-round draft choice WR Derius Davis (Texas Christian), fifth-round draft choice Jordan McFadden (Clemson), sixth-round draft choice DT Scott Matlock (Boise State) and seventh-round draft choice QB Max Duggan (Texas Christian) signed four-year contracts Friday, May 12. Financial terms of the deals were not immediately disclosed.

Texas Christian QB Max Duggan was the "most impressive" quarterback at the Senior Bowl, according to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and head coach Mike McCarthy praised Duggan. "I just love the way he plays," McCarthy said. "In the games I saw, you're never out of the game with Max."
