Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. received interest from the Denver Broncos before he decided to sign with the Jaguars.
Huddle Up: The Broncos re-signed J.K. Dobbins this offseason, but it seems like they are interested in adding at least one more running back to the roster. Dobbins should be the starter in 2026 but may have to share some playing time with at least one other back.

Updating previous reports, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Chris Rodriguez Jr.'s two-year deal is worth $10 million. He received a $4 million signing bonus, $6.2 million fully guaranteed and base salaries of $1.2 million and $4.19 million. He has void years in 2028-2030.
Huddle Up: Rodriguez had a mini-breakout at 26 last year with a 112-500-6 line on the ground. He has just six receptions in his entire career, so he's not going to do many favors in PPR leagues. If he can become the team's primary runner over Bhayshul Tuten, though, he'd be a solid RB3 option in fantasy.

Free-agent RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (Commanders) has reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to a source on Wednesday, March 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Rodriguez had his best season as a pro in 2025, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and tallying 500 rushing yards last season while splitting backfield time with Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols. Picked up by the Jaguars, Rodriguez could work in as part of a backfield committee and could develop into a fantasy-relevant player for managers come Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season. Rodriguez is a deeper-league dart throw in drafts.

Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. was reportedly not tendered by the Commanders, making him a free agent, according to Ben Standig on Wednesday, March 11.
Huddle Up: Rodriguez has his best season as a pro in 2025, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and tallying 500 rushing yards last season while splitting backfield time with Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols. Now, Rodriguez hits free agency, where he'll likely be scooped up by another team to compete for touches. It's unlikely Rodriguez has a fantasy-relevant role come Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season, so Rodriguez can be safely ignored for now.

Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed 16 times for a team-high 65 yards and a touchdown in Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles, while adding an 18-yard reception on his lone target.,
Huddle Up: Rodriguez emerged as the lead back down the stretch in 2025, but the future is still, likely, Jacory Croskey-Merritt. The backfield battle will be fun to watch in the summer. Jeremy McNichols is a free agent, and it's hard to imagine Austin Ekeler coming back and factoring in. Washington could still add a veteran free agent, or consider taking a back in the draft, so don't get carried away with Bill or Rodriguez. But, if those two go into training camp, and emerge as one of the top backfield options, they'll be decent RB3 or flex fantasy option in 2026.

Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (illness) is out for the Christmas Day game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Huddle Up: Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols will share the load. JCM has touchdowns in two straight games and has the upside among the two flex candidates.

Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed 15 times for 63 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for six yards in a 29-18 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.
Huddle Up: Rodriguez returned from a one-game absence and picked up where he left off, leading the Washington backfield in carries and total touches. He appears locked in as the lead back, and he can be a reliable RB3 or flex option for fantasy owners.

Washington Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (groin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.
Huddle Up: Rodriguez is on track to return to the lineup after a one-game absence and should share playing time with Jacory Croskey-Merritt. He can be considered a flex option in fantasy leagues since he should see a good amount of touches during the game.
