Green Bay Packers RB Christopher Brooks (hamstring) was able to take part in an indoor closed practice Sunday, Aug. 9. He was practicing for the first time at training camp after starting on the non-football injury (NFI) list due to a hamstring injury.
Huddle Up: Brooks is in competition for the No. 2 running back job behind starter Josh Jacobs. Brooks is looking to hold off challenges from MarShawn Lloyd and Pierre Strong Jr., as well as Damien Martinez and Jaden Nixon. As a standalone option, he isn't likely to have a ton of value, with Jacobs serving as the workhorse. However, for those with stock in Jacobs, Nixon is a viable handcuff in the final rounds on draft day as insurance.

Green Bay Packers RB Christopher Brooks (undisclosed) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list Monday, July 27.
Huddle Up: Brooks is expected to compete for the No. 2 running back job, so fantasy players will need to see when he will be able to practice. He is unlikely to see much playing time if Josh Jacobs is healthy and can probably be avoided in most leagues.

Huddle Up: With Josh Jacobs dealing with legal issues off the field and MarShawn Lloyd limited to individual drills, Brooks had a chance to work with the starters. Even if Jacobs is on the field in Week 1, Brooks could be a name to file away given Lloyd's injury history.
