Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo was suspended two games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substance policy, according to sources Friday, Feb. 16.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo will miss the first two games of the 2024 season, but it isn't even clear if he's the starter under the new regime in Vegas. Managers should avoid Garoppolo while viewing him as a low-end QB2 if he does retain the starting role.

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to release QB Jimmy Garoppolo during the offseason, barring a stunning turn of events, according to ESPN.com's Bill Barnwell.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo has dealt with injuries and ineffectiveness in his first season in Vegas and will continue to serve as the backup to Aidan O'Connell for the remainder of the 2023 campaign. If Garoppolo winds up getting released, he will have made just over $35 million for six starts with the Raiders, with $11.3 million of that amount coming from a guaranteed bonus that he will receive in 2024. Las Vegas would then have almost $29 million of dead salary cap space spread out over the next two seasons.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (back) is 'good to go' for Week 8, head coach Josh McDaniels said on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Huddle Up: While Garoppolo's return will provide a boost to all Las Vegas' pass-catchers, he simply hasn't done enough to warrant starting consideration outside of two-quarterback leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (back) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 27.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo appears to be on track to return to the lineup as long as he does not suffer a setback over the next few days. He can be avoided in standard leagues but could be a possible option in two-quarterback leagues.
