Updating a previous report, Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo's three-year deal is worth $72.5 million, with $45 million guaranteed and an $11.25 million signing bonus.

Free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo (Raiders) signed a three-year contract worth a reported $72.8 million on Friday, March 17.
Huddle Up: Things took a bit of an awkward turn Thursday when Garoppolo did not show up for his presser even though he was in the building. Obviously, the two sides worked out all of the details. Garoppolo offers the Raiders a soft landing after they parted with Derek Carr, but it is uncertain at best if he will be an upgrade. At the very least, Garoppolo's presence should allow Davante Adams to remain a solid fantasy WR1. This contract should not stop Las Vegas from considering a quarterback in the draft if one falls in their lap, especially given Garoppolo's injury history. He should be considered no better than a middling fantasy QB2.

Impending free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers) agreed to terms on a three-year, $65.7 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, March 13. Terms of the deal were reported by NFL Network's studio desk.
Huddle Up: The reunion between Garoppolo and head coach Josh McDaniels should make for a smooth transition. While he's not much of a fantasy option on his own, and the Raiders are likely to draft someone later this year to groom, Garoppolo's presence helps the fantasy assets around him more than anything. The veteran quarterback is a QB2 in most settings for fake football action.

Impending free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers) is expected to receive interest from the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans at the start of free agency next week, according to SI.com's Mike McDaniel.
Huddle Up: All three teams pick inside the top 10 of next month's draft and are obviously in the market for quarterback help. The Raiders and Panthers present him with the best opportunity to start for most - if not all - of the 2023 season and have enough weapons to make him a decent QB2 option in fantasy. Las Vegas should be considered the favorite to sign him at the moment, as Garoppolo and head coach Josh McDaniels worked together with the New England Patriots. It also helps the cause that the Raiders have a great supporting cast led by Davante Adams and Darren Waller.

Impending free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers) is set to hit the open market later this month, and sources have told CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones that there is "a push within the (Houston Texans') building" to sign him.
Huddle Up: In all likelihood, Houston is probably no better than third on Garoppolo's wish list - given the likelihood he would be serving as a placeholder for whomever the Texans draft with their first pick. The New York Jets may be holding out for Aaron Rodgers, but Garoppolo would almost certainly start for them if the four-time MVP does not end up there. Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels is familiar with Garoppolo and likely views him as a starting option as well.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be pursued by the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency if the team fails to land Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, per sources on Sunday, March 5.

San Francisco 49ers impending free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to receive interest from multiple teams during free agency, according to NFL Network's Mike Gaarafolo.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo will not be returning to the 49ers but should be able to find a starting job this offseason. He probably will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback no matter where he signs.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said he does not see a scenario where Garoppolo is with the 49ers next season.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo will test the free-agent market this offseason and has a chance to find a starting job with another team. He has had some success in the past but likely will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2023 if he is a starter.

Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot, ankle) has reached a point in his rehab where practicing is now possible, based on scans of his ankle, according to multiple sources.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo has already been ruled out for the NFC Championship Game but could serve as the backup to QB Brock Purdy in the Super Bowl if the Niners are able to beat the Philadelphia Eagles this afternoon. Purdy can be viewed as a serviceable lineup option in some postseason fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) said that he can do everything with his still-ailing foot except sprint Friday, Jan. 27. He will not be available for the NFC Championship Game versus the Philadelphia Eagles after missing all three of the team's practice sessions during the week but said his chances of being ready for the Super Bowl are still up in the air, should the 49ers advance.
Huddle Up: Brock Purdy has taken over as the 49ers' starter at quarterback and can be a lineup option in some postseason fantasy leagues. If Garoppolo is healthy enough to be available for the Super Bowl, he would serve as Purdy's backup.
