San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) has not been recommended for surgery, according to a report Friday, Nov. 6. He will be reevaluated after 4-6 weeks and potentially be able to return this season.
Huddle Up: Some positive 49ers health news for a change. This timetable, though, brings us to the last few weeks of the regular season, and if the Niners aren't in contention at that point, they might just go ahead and close out the year with Nick Mullens or C.J. Beathard.

Huddle Up: Nick Mullens is on track to start the next several games with Garoppolo to be sidelined for multiple weeks. He could be an option in two-quarterback leagues but can be avoided in standard leagues.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) is expected to be sidelined a minimum of six weeks and possibly longer surgery is required, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo hasn't been a fantasy asset for most of the season, but his absence means San Francisco will be riding Nick Mullens or C.J. Beathard for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately for Mullens and/or Beathard, they won't have the services of George Kittle, who is likely out for the rest of the regular season. Mullens can be added in superflex and/or two-quarterback leagues, but most fantasy owners can pass on this quarterback situation otherwise.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) walked to the locker room early in the fourth quarter of the Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury. QB Nick Mullens replaced him. Garoppolo was 11-of-16 for 84 yards, no touchdowns and an interception while rushing for four yards.
Huddle Up: With a lopsided score on the board, it's unlikely Jimmy G will re-emerge from the locker room and play the rest of the way. He has struggled since returning from injury, tossing three touchdowns against the Rams, but he has no touchdown throws in his other three outings during the span. He cannot be trusted for fantasy purposes at this point unless you're absolutely desperate.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo completed 20-of-25 passes for 277 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 7 against the New England Patriots, his former team, but he did lead his team to a road victory.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo has gone without a touchdown pass in two of his previous three outings, and he has three touchdowns and four interceptions during the span. At least his yardage total was a season high. He'll look for more consistency heading into Week 8 in Seattle, but he remains more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues at this point.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo connected on 23 of 33 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Oct. 18. He also gained eight yards on four rushing attempts.
Huddle Up: Coming off a disastrous Week 5, head coach Kyle Shanahan put the training wheels on Jimmy G Sunday night in a big way, utilizing a series of ultra high-percentage passes behind the line of scrimmage to move the ball and keep the Rams from hitting a still-hampered QB. To his credit, Garoppolo did make one nice throw to George Kittle on fourth down that turned into a TD, but it's hard to trust someone that's being so heavily managed.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing Week 5 performance but will be facing a tough Los Angeles Rams defense. He can be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues, but fantasy players in standard leagues should be able to find better options.
