San Francisco 49ers rookie WR Ricky Pearsall has been used at multiple receiver positions in the offense but could make his biggest impact as a punt returner, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner.
Huddle Up: Dynasty league owners should have him on their radar as a possible second-round selection in rookie drafts, although he may not contribute much outside of special teams for 2024 because San Francisco has no shortage of offensive weapons.

San Francisco 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall is "doing a really good job" and has "really impressed (the coaching staff)" with how he has looked during offseason work, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. "He's doing a really good job. He's got really good hands, so he always catches it. He's rarely going to have a drop. We're giving him a lot of reps, he's getting a lot of different routes, he's trying all the positions. We've been really impressed with how he's started off," Shanahan told The Athletic's David Lombardi.
Huddle Up: Pearsall is taking advantage of Brandon Aiyuk's absence and building early chemistry with Brock Purdy, who will almost certainly be his quarterback for the next several years. It may be too much to ask for him to be fantasy-relevant in 2024 with Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey all getting heavy volume, but dynasty leaguers should feel great about landing Pearsall in the early second round of rookie drafts.

Florida WR Ricky Pearsall was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 31st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Pearsall thrived in college thanks to his reliable hands and route running ability. He enters the league with plenty of snaps under his belt, and while he probably won't be a fantasy starter, he could carve out a modest role as a rookie.
