New York Giants TE Theo Johnson has been repeatedly shown video clips of the retired Rob Gronkowski by head coach Brian Daboll, who expects to see similar results from the rookie as his career progresses. "There's countless times where we'll be in the middle of a meeting and he'll be like, 'Theo, Dabs wants to see you.' Pulls me out of the meeting and I'm like, 'What could this possibly be about?' And then he's got up a clip of Gronk just running somebody over, catching a back shoulder, and he's like, 'This is what we expect from you.' I can tell he puts a lot of intentional eye into the tight end position ... I think it goes to show how he feels about me and what he thinks I'm capable of," Johnson told Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com.
Huddle Up: In short, dynasty managers should take notice. The Giants likely do not have the pieces in place for Johnson to be a star as a rookie, but the team's fourth-round draft choice possesses no shortage of athleticism. The fact Daboll has taken so much of an interest in a Day 3 pick should suggest that he believes Johnson at least has a chance to be a dominant force in the league down the road.

New York Giants TE Theo Johnson was drafted with Darren Waller's potential retirement in mind, according to general manager Joe Schoen on Saturday, April 27. "We had to take that into account for sure," Schoen said.
Huddle Up: Waller has been largely frustrating for fantasy due to constant injuries. His future in the NFL is still unclear. Johnson is an intriguing flier for dynasty purposes, but it may be a while before he carves out a role big enough to be usable for fantasy managers.
