Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (leg) returned to practice on Tuesday, Aug. 18, but HC Todd Bowles did say McMillan won't play in Saturday's preseason game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: After a return in the final four games of the 2025 season following three fractured vertebrae in a preseason game last August, McMillan was productive for the Buccaneers with 12 receptions and 178 yards while playing roughly half of the available snaps in all four games. In 2026, McMillan finds himself fighting for one of the starting outside receiver spots opposite Emeka Egbuka. McMillan is worth a late-round pick, but his value is extremely volatile not just because of the lack of stability in his starting role, but also with the Buccaneers' offense finding high peaks and low valleys at times last season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (knee) is considered day-to-day or week-to-week because of a knee injury, according to head coach Todd Bowles.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation to see if McMillan will be available for the start of the regular season. He is in line to be the No. 3 receiver for the Bucs this season and can be a late round pick in deeper leagues.

Tampa Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (lower-body soreness) did not practice on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Huddle Up: The fourth-year pro caught only 12 passes for 178 yards in four games last season due to injuries. If he can stay healthy, there are snaps available with the departure of WR Mike Evans.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Monday, Aug. 3, because of soreness, according to head coach Todd Bowles.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation to see when McMillan will practice again. He will likely be the No. 3 receiver for the team this season and could be a late round pick in leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan will have an opening for a larger role after WR Mike Evans left in the offseason.
Huddle Up: McMillan was limited to four games last season due to a serious neck injury. In his third game back, he caught seven balls for a career-high 114 yards. He'll be a WR4 with some upside.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan caught one pass for 11 yards in a 16-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: McMillan was coming off a 114-yard performance in Week 17, but like the rest of the Tampa Bay receivers, he was the victim of a run-heavy approach in the finale. McMillan lost most of his season to a scary neck injury, and with Chris Godwin now healthy and the emergence of Emeka Egbuka, he faces plenty of competition for targets moving forward.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan caught seven of his nine targets for 114 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
Huddle Up: After an injury-delayed debut to the year, McMillan led the team in receiving yards in just his third game. Whether or not he will continue to play a big role in the passing attack remains to be seen, but the performance was a reminder of the upside that McMillan possesses.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan had two receptions for 15 yards on three targets in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (neck) caught two passes for 38 yards in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: A neck injury cost McMillan the first 13 games of the season, so it was good just to see him back on the field. While he made the most of his limited opportunities, it's difficult to think he'll progress to the point that he's producing fantasy-relevant numbers while sharing the field with Mike Evans, Emeka Egbuka, and Chris Godwin. McMillan is only of interest in the deepest of leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (neck) is officially active for the Week 15 game.
Huddle Up: McMillan will be making his season debut this week after suffering his injury during the preseason. There is a good chance that he is eased back into the offense and probably will not be a starting fantasy option at this point.
