Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin had five receptions (on six targets) for 50 yards against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, Oct. 17. He led the team in all three categories.
Huddle Up: After scoring his first NFL touchdown in Week 6, Franklin was the team's leading receiver on Thursday night. The rookie had a little buzz coming into the season because he'd played with Bo Nix at Oregon, but over the first month that amounted to nothing. Perhaps we're seeing some signs of Franklin carving out a larger role -- though it's important to note that Josh Reynolds (finger) went on IR with a finger injury, which opened up the WR2 spot in Denver, so this could certainly be temporary. Standard league owners can ignore the former Duck at this stage. Those in deeper leagues should at least add him to the watch list to see what he does in Week 8.

Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin caught his first NFL touchdown, finishing with two catches for 31 yards in a 23-16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6.
Huddle Up: Franklin's touchdown grab is his first highlight in what has been a quiet rookie season, and he still hasn't caught more than two passes in a game. He doesn't need to be rostered currently, but his role could expand as both he and Box Nix gain more experience.

Denver Broncos WR Troy Franklin signed his four-year rookie contract, the team announced Saturday, June 1.
Huddle Up: Franklin was a fourth-round pick so he has to climb the depth chart, but his skills as a deep threat make him a WR4/5 for fantasy football with some upside if a role presents itself.

Oregon WR Troy Franklin was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 102nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: The Broncos have Courtland Sutton and Josh Reynolds as their main receivers, but Franklin will have the opportunity to earn a role during training camp. He could be a late round pick in fantasy drafts but probably will not be a starting option most weeks as a rookie.
