Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele (undisclosed) did not participate in mandatory minicamp with an undisclosed injury but will be a full-go for training camp, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Huddle Up: Vele was reportedly enjoying a strong start to his offseason before the injury, but he will likely begin the season no higher than third on the team's target totem pole, behind at least Courtland Sutton and Evan Engram. Vele could fall even further if rookie Pat Bryant turns out to be anything resembling the Michael Thomas clone that Payton suggests he could be.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele had 52% of his targets go for first downs or touchdowns as a rookie last season, which was fourth in the NFL, per ESPN's Ben Solak. Following the selection of WR Pat Bryant in the third round, however, Solak believes that Vele will be competing with the rookie for the slot role in 2025.
Huddle Up: Sean Payton has likened Bryant to former Saints standout Michael Thomas, which is lofty praise. With Denver's offense seemingly on the rise behind second-year QB Bo Nix, the camp battle between Bryant and Vele could be one to watch.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele caught all four of his targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Week 18 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: Vele's touchdown catch was one for the ages, although it not intended for him. Bo Nix rolled to his right and found Adam Trautman in the back of the end zone, but he could not handle it. Two Kansas City defenders kept it alive long enough for Vele to haul it in before falling out of the back of the end zone himself. Although his rookie campaign was wildly inconsistent in terms of his usage, Vele did enough to earn himself a top-three role in this passing game in 2025. However, he is little more than a DFS punt play in the team's upcoming Wild Card Round game against the Buffalo Bills.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele posted two catches on as many targets for 27 yards at the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17 on Saturday, Dec. 28.
Huddle Up: Vele may have scored in Week 16 but has just five total targets in the last four weeks and is unworthy of a Week 18 play without an intentional gamble being your intention. He did score in the previous meeting with Kansas City, and this defense has nothing to play for in the finale.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele caught two passes for 21 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday, Dec. 19. He was targeted three times.
Huddle Up: After catching just one pass in his previous two games, Vele logged his second TD of the year. He's not seeing the kind of involvement that would make him a viable option in Week 17, however, as the rookie has only three games of more than 40 yards on the season.

Denver Broncos WRs Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Devaughn Vele were each targeted once apiece in Week 15 against the Indianapolis Colts, and both players went without a catch.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele ended up with just a single reception for 16 yards on four targets in Week 13 against the Cleveland Browns.
Huddle Up: Vele was very disappointing Monday, as he had four or more receptions in each of his previous three games, increasing his yardage in each of the past three outings. Vele had six grabs, 80 yards and nine targets in Week 12 in Las Vegas, but he hurt any fantasy managers rolling the dice on him as a low-end WR3 or flex option. The Broncos are off in Week 14, so if you need the roster spot, it's perfectly OK to cut Vele loose for someone you can use right now, especially at this critical juncture of the fantasy regular season.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele caught six of his nine targets for 80 yards in a 29-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12.
Huddle Up: Vele has strung together three straight productive outings, and as Bo Nix has found his footing as a starter, Vele has emerged as the No. 2 option in the passing attack.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele ended up with four receptions for 66 yards on five targets in Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Vele has back-to-back games with four receptions, and he should garner some fantasy attention in deeper PPR leagues. For all other formats, he can safely be left to the waiver wire, but keep an eye on him. The Broncos travel to meet the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12.

Denver Broncos WR Devaughn Vele caught four passes for 39 yards and one touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10. He was targeted four times during the game.
Huddle Up: Vele has received a handful of targets each game since returning to the lineup and was able to pick up his first touchdown of the season this week. He probably will see a few targets next week but can be avoided in most leagues.
