New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele (shoulder) left the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers due to a shoulder injury. He had five receptions for 69 yards on six targets before departing.
Huddle Up: Vele has stepped up his game, serving as the No. 2 receiver behind Chris Olave. He is worth a look as a low-end WR4 or flex fantasy option when healthy. Circle back around Wednesday when practice resumes, as we'll have a better idea of his status for Week 16.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele caught three of his five targets for 40 yards in a 24-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14.
Huddle Up: Vele's 40 receiving yards led the team, and he has been targeted at least five times in three straight games. He has emerged as the No. 2 receiver for the Saints behind Chris Olave, and with the Olave currently playing through a back injury, Vele could be worth adding as a WR4.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele registered game highs with eight receptions, 93 yards and eight targets in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins, and he also had a touchdown reception.
Huddle Up: Vele easily had his best game of the season. In fact, he entered the day with just nine total receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown on 20 targets in his first 10 games. At this critical juncture of the fantasy season, it's tough time to take a flyer on a receiver after just one good game. However, if you're desperate for receiver help due to injuries and/or byes in Week 14, Vele could be worth a look for roster depth.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele went for three receptions for 37 yards on seven targets in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Huddle Up: Vele is operating as the No. 2 receiver behind Chris Olave, but that doesn't automatically mean fantasy appeal. He remains more of a WR5 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 13 and the rest of the season.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele managed just a single 15-yard reception on three targets in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.
Huddle Up: It was expected that Vele could see an expanded role after Rashid Shaheed was traded to the Seattle Seahawks prior to the trade deadline, but Vele's role was mostly unchanged. If you scooped him up in deeper leagues, keep him, just in case he starts to jell a little with Tyler Shough. But, there is no sense retaining him elsewhere.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele has played sparingly, but he is likely to see an increase in playing time following the trade of WR Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks. Vele has played only 40 percent or more of the team's offensive snaps once this season, and he hasn't had more than two catches or 13 yards at any point.
Huddle Up: Chris Olave is the top receiver for New Orleans, but it's possible Vele scoots up to a starting role, after the team paid a huge premium to bring him in during the offseason. While his role will almost certainly expand, Vele is only a player worth monitoring, as erratic QB play in New Orleans has really sapped the fantasy value of most of the offensive players.

New Orleans Saints WR Devaughn Vele had one catch (on five targets) for 10 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8.
