Free-agent LB David Mayo (Commanders) announced his retirement from the NFL.

Washington Commanders S Percy Butler (wrist), CB Kendall Fuller (knee), C Tyler Larsen (knee), OT Charles Leno Jr. (calf) and CB Benjamin St-Juste (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 29, and have been ruled out for Week 17. OT Andrew Wylie (elbow) was limited during practice and is listed as questionable. DT John Ridgeway (foot) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. LB De'Jon Harris (quadriceps), LB David Mayo (knee) and DE James Smith-Williams (illness) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Washington Commanders LB David Mayo finished with six tackles, including three tackles for loss, and recorded two of Washington's nine sacks in a 31-19 loss to the New York Giants in Week 11.

Washington Commanders LB David Mayo signed a one-year contract extension with the Commanders Friday, Feb. 24. Financial terms were not disclosed.
