Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III (groin) 'looks 100%' and to plan on him being available in Week 1, according to HC Ben Johnson on Saturday, Aug, 29.

Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III (groin) is expected to miss about a month with a groin injury. The hope is that he's ready by Week 1.
Huddle Up: Kalif Raymond is next on the depth chart if Burden winds up missing games. Raymond is a journeyman receiver that doesn't have a ton of value but could be a cheap streaming option. Burden's ADP pegs him in the fourth round, and that is likely to fall a bit. He'll be an upside WR3 target.

Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III (groin) suffered a groin injury in practice Saturday, Aug. 8, and he is expected to "miss a little time", according to a source.
Huddle Up: It's uncertain how much time Burden will be on the shelf, and if the injury is expected to follow him into the regular season. However, groin injuries can be tricky for receivers, especially. If Burden is on the shelf into the regular season, Rome Odunze and Khalif Raymond would be the next two receivers in line, with Colston Loveland also seeing a big role in the offense. However, at the moment, there is no reason to believe Burden will be shelved for the next month, giving him plenty of time to recuperate in time for Week 1. He is still worth a look as a legit low-end WR2 or flex fantasy option, but have alternate plans just in case.

Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III has been performing well during offseason workouts and has been working on learning new routes, according to head coach Ben Johnson.
Huddle Up: Burden is in line for a big role this upcoming season after the team traded DJ Moore during the offseason. He is coming off a solid rookie season and should be able to improve his numbers with more playing time. He can be a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson told reporters on Thursday, May 28, "I'm buying Luther Burden stock right now."
Huddle Up: Burden had high expectations heading into his second season with the Chicago Bears. Now, with this added endorsement of him from his head coach, fantasy players should take note. With the departure of DJ Moore, Burden has a chance to become the WR2, or even the WR1, of the Bears. Right now, he projects as a fun WR2 in fantasy lineups with some real potential to surpass that.

Chicago Bears WR Luther Burden III led all rookie receivers in catches (34), receiving yards (481), yards after catch (249) and first downs (23) from Week 10 onward.
Huddle Up: Burden took advantage of the temporary absence of Rome Odunze to emerge as a dangerous weapon in the Chicago offense, and he didn't look back. His role will already be established coming into next season, which should push his ceiling even higher. Burden looks like a WR3 with upside for 2026.
