Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell completed 27 of his 40 passes for 227 yards, a touchdown and an interception in a 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.
Huddle Up: O'Connell was making his first start of the year, but the Raiders looked like the same team they have been with Gardner Minshew under center. O'Connell doesn't need be owned in fantasy leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell will start in Week 6 instead of QB Gardner Minshew, head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Huddle Up: After O'Connell lost to Minshew in a quarterback battle during the offseason, this is likely a lateral move, at best. As was the case with Minshew, O'Connell isn't on the starting radar until further notice.

The Las Vegas Raiders have yet to decide who will start at quarterback in Week 6 between QB Gardner Minshew and QB Aidan O'Connell, head coach Antonio Pierce said on Monday, Oct. 7.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell completed 10 of his 20 passes for 94 yards and an interception after replacing QB Gardner Minshew during the Week 5 game aganst the Denver Broncos.
Huddle Up: O'Connell didn't exactly shine in his relief appearance, and it remains to be seen if the move is a permanent swap. Even if O'Connell does become the starter, he will be a fringe QB2 option, at best.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Gardner Minshew was replaced by QB Aidan O'Connell during the Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos. He completed 12 of his 17 passes for 137 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions before being replaced.
Huddle Up: It remains to be seen if O'Connell will become the starter going forward, but even if Minshew is given another shot, he doesn't have much fantasy appeal.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Gardner Minshew II was benched in the second half of the Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos in favor of QB Aidan O'Connell. Minshew completed 12-of-17 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, including a pick-six for 100 yards.
Huddle Up: Apparently head coach Antonio Pierce isn't into Minshew Mania. The quarterback's completion percentage wasn't terrible, and to be fair, he has been without his top target Davante Adams for the past two games, and perhaps the rest of the season if the wideout is traded. Neither Minshew nor O'Connell are very good from a fantasy perspective, especially without Adams.

Las Vegas Raiders OT Thayer Munford (ankle, knee), CB Decamerion Richardson (hamstring), TE Michael Mayer (non-injury) and LB Luke Masterson (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and have been ruled out for Week 5. S Trey Taylor (knee) was limited during practice but has been ruled out. DE Maxx Crosby (ankle), LB Divine Deablo (oblique), LB Kana'i Mauga (calf), OG Dylan Parham (Achilles) and WR Tyreik McAllister (shoulder) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. QB Aidan O'Connell (toe) was limited during practice but is not on the injury report. OT Kolton Miller (knee, shoulder), CB Jakorian Bennett (shoulder), S Isaiah Pola-Mao (non-injury) and OG Cody Whitehair (chest) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell could take over as the starter over Gardner Minshew as the team has not ruled out a potential quarterback change, head coach Antonio Pierce told reporters Monday, Sept. 23.
Huddle Up: This would be a significant change for the offense but may be a good thing for Davante Adams, who averaged nearly 10.8 targets and 67.2 yards per game with O'Connell under center for the final nine games of the 2023 season. O'Connell himself wouldn't be a viable option for fantasy as the starter, though.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell completed 9-of-12 passes for 82 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, finishing up a blowout loss in place of QB Gardner Minshew.
Huddle Up: With the Raiders well behind, O'Connell came on and had some success in certain passing downs. However, it remains to be seen if that was enough to make head coach Antonio Pierce consider a permanent change from Gardner Minshew. We'll watch it closely, but either of these guys are low-end QB2 options in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Gardner Minshew was named the starter over Aidan O'Connell, head coach Antonio Pierce announced Sunday, Aug. 18.
Huddle Up: Minshew was the QB17 in fantasy points per game from Week 6 on during the 2023 season. The Raiders offense is likely to be a low-ceiling unit. While Minshew might have some streaming capabilities here and there, he's best viewed as a mid-QB2 option without much upside.
