Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel was not targeted against the Denver Broncos in Week 9.
Huddle Up: Coming off a three-game stretch in which he turned 16 targets into 11 catches, 153 yards, and a touchdown, the rookie was completely silent against the Broncos on Sunday. It's plausible that the in-game switch from C.J. Stroud (concussion) to Davis Mills had something to do with it, and, of course, the returns of Nico Collins and Christian Kirk were also factors, but it's disappointing to see Noel completely ignored. Those in deeper leagues should continue to hold onto Noel based on his strong play, but anyone that added him in standard formats can likely move on.

Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel registered five receptions for 63 yards on six targets in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers, including a career-high 44-yard reception.
Huddle Up: Noel has come on in the past two games, going for nine receptions, 140 yards and 13 targets in the past two games after making just five catches on seven targets for 22 yards in the first five outings. The rookie out of Iowa State appears to be an asset for the Houston offense, and he is worth stashing in long-term keeper leagues, while picking up as a WR5/6 in redraft leagues.

Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel caught four passes (on seven targets) for 77 yards during the team's Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: A non-factor in September, Noel caught a TD pass before the bye and was the team's most productive receiver on Monday night. While he's no threat to Nico Collins (concussion), the fact that it was Noel -- not Jayden Higgins or Xavier Hutchinson -- that filled the de facto WR1 role when Collins and Christian Kirk (hamstring) were unavailable versus Seattle is something worth noticing. Houston desperately needs someone to make plays, and perhaps Noel can be that someone. If you're looking for a waiver wire claim with some upside, Noel is an intriguing stash candidate.

Houston Texans WRs Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel posted one reception apiece in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Higgins had a 5-yard catch on his only target, while Noel was good for a 4-yard grab on his lone target.

Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel posted just one catch for seven yards on two targets in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams in his NFL debut.
Huddle Up: The third-round pick out of Iowa State was barely a factor. He is a player worth keeping an eye on in redraft leagues, but his fantasy appeal right now is limited to deeper leagues and dynasty formats.

Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel has been spending a majority of the time in the slot while occasionally moving to the outside.
Huddle Up: If Houston views Noel is mainly a slot receiver, he could be stuck behind Christian Kirk, at least to begin the season. Fantasy owners can take a wait-and-see approach with Noel.

Houston Texans WR Jaylin Noel caught two passes for 16 yards in the preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings Saturday, Aug. 9. He was targeted two times during the game.
Huddle Up: Noel could have a role early in the season since Tank Dell is not expected to be ready to play. He will see a few targets in games and will probably only have value in keeper leagues.
