Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (leg) did not participate in practice Thursday, June 12.
Huddle Up: McMillan appeared to suffer a minor injury during the mandatory minicamp but should be ready when training camp begins. He will be an important part of the passing game right away and can be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan (leg) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 11, because he was kicked in the leg during practice Tuesday, June 10. Head coach Dave Canales said McMillan may return to practice Thursday, June 12.
Huddle Up: McMillan seems to be dealing with a minor injury and should be fine for training camp. He is in line for a starting job right away and should be one of the main options in the Panthers passing game. He can be considered at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan said he has been learning a lot from WRs Adam Thielen and WR Hunter Renfrow during offseason workouts.
Huddle Up: McMillan should have an important role right away with the Panthers and is being helped by the older receivers on the roster. He can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues and likely will be a starting option most weeks.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan is "that guy," according to fellow receiver and new teammate Adam Thielen. "He's a big long receiver that has phenomenal body control and can make contested catches and can play a lot of different spots, which, in this league, in my opinion, to be a great receiver in this league, you have to be able to play in the slot, you have to be able to play outside, you have to be able to run a lot of different routes and make contested catches. So, from the little I've seen, he's that guy," Thielen told the team's website recently.
Huddle Up: McMillan commonly drew a Drake London comparison during the draft process, but Larry Fitzgerald may be a better one. Among some of his best qualities, the No. 8 pick is one of the best contested-catch receiver prospects in recent memory and his run-after-catch skills are highly underrated. Thielen's approval may seem somewhat obligatory considering McMillan is now his teammate, but the 34-year-old has little to gain by lavishing such praise on the rookie since McMillan is the primary threat to Thielen's target share. McMillan should be considered a strong fantasy WR3 option immediately and arguably possesses WR1 upside.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan has been impressive during offseason workouts and has shown a very good work ethic, according to wide receivers coach Rob Moore. "He works on his ability to finish, and try and be detailed. It's one of the hardest things for young players to really dial in on the details of every play. He was really dialed in," Moore said.
Huddle Up: McMillan should receive a big role in the passing game right away and likely will become the main option in the passing game as the season goes on. He can be at least a No. 3 receiver at the start of the season but likely will become a weekly starting option at some point in 2025.

Carolina Panthers first-round draft choice WR Tetairoa McMillan signed a four-year contract with the Panthers Thursday, May 8. The deal includes a fifth-year option, but financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: McMillan should be an important part of the passing game during his rookie season and likely will see a good amount of targets each game. He can probably be at least a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues in 2025.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan was compared to Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins by an NFL executive. "I think he is like Tee Higgins," the executive said. "That is higher than Tee went, but you would still be getting a top-15 receiver in the league."
Huddle Up: With his size and and ability to make contested catches, McMillan could easily become Bryce Young's go-to target in the red zone. The rookie is worth grabbing as a WR3.

Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan was the team's first-round pick at No. 8 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. QB Bryce Young reportedly felt strong enough about him that he walked into the offices of head coach Dave Canales and general Dan Morgan before the draft and told them: "We need to pick this guy."
Huddle Up: McMillan was knocked for a few things during the pre-draft process - most notably the video clip of him not liking to watch film from a few years ago and his ability to separate - but he was one of the few true "X" receivers available in this draft. Compared to Drake London and Mike Evans by many, McMillan is huge (6-foot-4 and 219 pounds) and has amazing ball skills, which likely were the two qualities that appealed to Young the most. Perhaps the best part of this, however, is that Young personally identified the rookie as someone he wanted. McMillan will likely be considered a fantasy WR3 in early drafts, but there is little doubt he possesses WR2 upside.

Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the eighth overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: McMillan should be a top-three receiver for the Panthers in his rookie season and likely will see a decent amount of targets each game. He can be a possible No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.
