Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff completed 22 of 30 for 217 yards without a touchdown or interception in Week 3, vs. the Baltimore Ravens, on Sunday, Sept. 26.
Huddle Up: Detroit heads to Chicago in Week 4, and Goff shouldn't be in your sights for a fantasy play until bye weeks force the decision.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff completed 26-of-36 passes for 246 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Green By Packers on Monday, Sept. 20. He also led the team with 46 rushing yards on four attempts.
Huddle Up: The Lions actually led the game at half time, 17-14, and the offense was looking OK. The second half, the Lions defense fell apart, but with a deficit, Goff had plenty of short to intermediate dump-off passes for easy completions and yardage. That's good if you're a fantasy manager, that's bad for real-life fans. The Lions have another tough matchup in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff completed 38-of-57 passes for 338 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers in his team debut while also running for 14 yards.
Huddle Up: Goff, traded from the Los Angeles Rams for Matthew Stafford, looked good in the second half after a bit of a rough start. He connected with TE T.J. Hockenson, RB D'Andre Swift and WR Quintez Cephus for scores, and he hit eight different receivers for at least two catches. Still, he remains more of a QB2 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. The Lions play Monday night in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff will be running an offense catered to his strengths, according to offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn, and Lynn said the offense will be much different than the one Goff ran with the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Even if the Lions do build the offense for Goff, consistency has always been an issue, and Detroit isn't exactly loaded with offensive firepower. He is likely a low-end QB2, at best.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff was quick to earn praise from head coach Dan Campbell at OTAs. We're only one week into it -- I can tell you this, he throws a pretty ball, that's for sure,' Campbell said Thursday, May 27. 'But I like his mannerisms. I like his command in the huddle. And I would say, man, he's progressing kind of right where you want him to progress at this point. Again, we're not in team (drills), we're doing these walk-throughs. But the first live seven-on-seven yesterday, just watching him throw and some of the things that come out of it -- it's baby steps right now. It's good to have him here.'
Huddle Up: Goff was at least a QB2 in each of his last four seasons with the Rams, but he now moves away from offensive guru Sean McVay and to a Lions squad that is lacking proven receiving weapons, particularly at wideout. Regard him as a second QB only in deeper two-QB leagues.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff has agreed to restructure his contract, which has created $15 million in salary cap space for the Lions.
Huddle Up: Goff will be the starting quarterback for the Lions for the foreseeable future but will have to build chemistry with a new group of pass catchers. He should only be a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

Incoming Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff likely will be asked to restructure his contract this offseason because the team can create around $15 million if they rework the deal.
Huddle Up: Goff will be the Lions starting quarterback for at least next season, but it is not known if he will be the quarterback of the future for the Lions. He probably will be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback because the team may lose their top three receivers in free agency.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff leads all quarterbacks with 376 completions and 5,176 yards passing off play-action since 2018, according to Pro Football Focus.
Huddle Up: There's no question being the triggerman in Sean McVay's offense has something to do with Goff thriving in play-action, as few play-callers rely more heavily on it than he does. With that said, Goff has proven to be quite accurate when he isn't feeling pressured and the combination of bootlegs and play-action play a role in helping him feel more comfortable. While the Lions may rely more heavily on play-action than they have in previous years with a new regime in place, Goff is highly unlikely to be anything more than a middling QB2 in Detroit.

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff is considered to be the team's starter 'moving forward,' according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington.
Huddle Up: There were some rumors floating around that perhaps Goff was acquired by the Lions with the intent of flipping him for additional assets, but it sounds as though the team plans to give Goff the starting job and see what he can do. What his fantasy appeal will be is unclear as the Lions look to be in the early stages of a thorough rebuild, and it remains to be seen who will fill out Detroit's roster for 2021.

Incoming Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff said he is excited to be joining the Lions and believes he can help build a winning team. The Lions have agreed to acquire Goff from the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Goff had success with the Rams but will have to learn a new offensive scheme this offseason. His receiving corps is also a question mark with Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones free agents. Fantasy players probably should consider Goff a No. 2 fantasy quarterback next season.
