Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (toe) is active for the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills after clearing concussion protocol. But he is still dealing with a toe injury, and has been fitted with a special orthotic for his injury.
Huddle Up: Mahomes will likely be a little less mobile, but the fact he is active obviously means the world for the Chiefs. Even a less than 100 percent Mahomes is great news for a Chiefs offense against a tough Bills squad for a chance to get back to the Super Bowl.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (toe) was diagnosed with a case of turf toe on his left foot after last week's Divisional Round playoff game versus the Cleveland Browns. Even though he took the majority of snaps during practice this week, he is scheduled to see a specialist at the end of the season to determine if he'll need to undergo surgery.
Huddle Up: Although Mahomes' mobility will be somewhat limited for the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, he should still be viewed as a top quarterback option for all postseason fantasy games. The Chiefs may also want to schedule fewer rushing attempts for Mahomes this evening after he sustained a concussion on a QB option run last week.

Updating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (toe) on Friday, Jan. 22, announced he has cleared the league's concussion protocol and is set to start in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
Huddle Up: Wow, things developed fast here Friday, but in the end it's no surprise as Mahomes will face the Buffalo Bills for the second time this season. In K.C.'s 26-17 Week 6 road win, he completed 21-of-26 passes for 225 yards and two TDs while also rushing a season-high 10 times for 36 yards. Certainly don't expect nearly as many rushing attempts this time around after Mahomes sustained his concussion last week on a quarterback option run.
