Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield could be approached about a contract extension during the offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said that the team is now 'all in' and believes that Mayfield is their 'franchise quarterback.' Rapoport also added that there is 'no rush' on the extension with Mayfield under team control for the next two seasons if the club exercises its fifth-year option.
Huddle Up: Mayfield made strides under Kevin Stefanski and almost led the Browns to an upset of the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. He's still looking like more of a QB2 heading into 2021, especially given the strength of the running game, but the arrow certainly appears to be pointed up.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said Wednesday, Dec. 30, that the playoffs start in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he added that he lives for these moments. 'Just to be honest with you guys, the mentality here is we're in our playoffs just one week early,' Mayfield said. 'It's win or go home. That's the mentality for our guys. These are the moments you ask for. When you're little, you dream of playing in the game where it comes down to you have the ball in your hands and you want to take care of business. It comes down to the moments when you have to win.'
Huddle Up: Mayfield and the Browns are favored by about a touchdown to top the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will rest Ben Roethlisberger with the AFC North Division title sewn up. But the Browns still need to execute. They were missing the top four receivers last week due to COVID-19, and it will be interesting to see what cadre of receivers Mayfield will get to play with in the finale. He will likely be passing early and often, which bodes well for his fantasy value and DFS appeal in Week 17.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 28-of-53 passes for 285 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 16 against the New York Jets and he rushed for six yards.
Huddle Up: Mayfield was able to post a high yardage total despite the fact he was without his top four wide receivers due to COVID-19. He spread the ball around to his tight ends and running backs, but the Browns came up just short of an 11th victory. He'll look for a better result in Week 17 against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 27 of his 32 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns against the New York Giants on Sunday, Dec. 20. Mayfield also ran for 11 yards on four attempts.
Huddle Up: Over his first 11 games, Mayfield completed more than 20 passes just twice and never more than 22. In his last three, the former No. 1 overall pick has connected on 25, 28 and 27 balls, respectively, while giving the Cleveland offense an entirely different vibe from the run-dominant group it was over the season's first three months. Facing the Jets next Sunday, Mayfield could be deployed as a QB1, though there'd certainly be some jitters as the Browns could always elect to do a 180 and heavily feature the run.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 28-of-47 passes for 343 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens and he rushed five times for 23 yards and a score.
Huddle Up: Mayfield and the Browns offense was tremendous, but they came up just short in a 47-42 shootout against the Ravens in one of the more entertaining games of the 2020 NFL campaign. The Browns are back at it on prime time, facing the New York Giants in Week 15 on Sunday night.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 25-of-33 passes for 334 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions with five rushing yards in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans.
Huddle Up: The Browns had been thrashed against the better teams in the NFL, and Mayfield struggled in the past four outings with just two interceptions (both last week vs. Jacksonville) with 258 or fewer pass yards in each of the past games. He had just one game with more than two TDs, and he hadn't had a 300-yard game to date. That all changed here, but he remains a low-end QB2 in most fantasy formats.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 19-of-29 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and he rushed for one yard.
Huddle Up: The touchdowns were Mayfield's first since Week 7 in Cincinnati when he had a career-high five touchdowns. It's been feast or famine for The Bake Show lately, with more famine than feast. He remains more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues. The Browns face a tough task against the Tennessee Titans in Week 13.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed just 12-of-22 passes for 204 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions with six runs for nine yards in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also fumbled twice with one lost.
Huddle Up: Mayfield tossed five touchdowns in a win at Cincinnati back on Oct. 25, but he offensive spigot has tightened shut since then. He hasn't thrown or run for a touchdown in the past three games. There has been poor weather in all three of the outings. That shouldn't be a problem in Jacksonville in Week 12, but Mayfield should only be looked at as a low-end QB2 in fantasy leagues starting two signal callers.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has failed to throw a touchdown in each of his past two games, finishing with less than 140 passing yards in both contests.
Huddle Up: Mayfield has disappeared since lighting up the Bengals for five scores, and he has thrown for less than 200 yards in six of his nine games overall. He will be a QB2, at best, in Week 11 when the Browns likely lean on their ground game against a struggling Philadelphia run defense.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 12-of-20 passes for 132 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans, and he ran for just one yard.
Huddle Up: It was an ugly, low-scoring defensive battle at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday, and Mayfield did nothing for his fantasy owners. It's especially disappointing since the Browns were coming off a bye. The offense will look for better results in Week 11 with the Philadelphia Eagles visiting next Sunday.
