Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield needs 42 touchdown passes in 2019 to break Dan Marino's record of 68 over a player's first two seasons.
Huddle Up: Tossing 42 TD passes isn't likely as only one QB (Patrick Mahomes last season) has thrown that many in a season over the last five years. Mayfield, is though, a legit QB1 fantasy prospect this season.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said he will use his narrow, second-place finish in the NF Offensive Rookie of the Year voting as motivation this offseason. Mayfield finished five votes behind winner Saquon Barkley. 'Yeah, I'll use it as motivation,'' Mayfield said Wednesday, Feb. 6, via Cleveland.com. 'But the more important thing is winning football games. Yeah, it's more frustrating than anything because Saquon, that's my guy and he'll hold it over my head forever. But you know what, I'll use that as motivation and I'll be better in the long run.'
Huddle Up: Mayfield threw for 27 TDs and 14 interceptions while finishing 15th among quarterbacks in average fantasy points per game. Now entering the offseason as the unquestioned starter, and with another year to build in the same system, look for Mayfield to challenge for QB1 status in 2019.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield said he believes in head coach Freddie Kitchens and is excited to have offensive continuity. 'We had something special and I want to build on it,' Mayfield said.
Huddle Up: Mayfield threw 19 touchdowns in eight games with Kitchens running the show, and there is a chance that Mayfield could become a QB1 down the road. For now, he will be a QB2 with upside heading into 2019.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield went 27-for-37 for 284 yards and three touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. He also rushed for 16 yards on six carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Mayfield has played well since taking over the job early in the season and has five touchdowns in the last two games. He will be facing a tough Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 17 but could still be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield finished 18-of-31 for 188 yards and two touchdowns to go along with one interception in Week 15 versus the Denver Broncos. He added four carries for six yards.
Huddle Up: It was a roller coaster night for Mayfield, who capped the first team's possession with a beautiful 31-yard touchdown throw to Breshad Perriman. The No. 1 overall pick lost his trademark accuracy for a while after that before settling down in the second half and hitting Antonio Callaway on a 2-yard slant for the second score. Mayfield didn't exactly take advantage of the Broncos' beat-up secondary quite like his fantasy owners might have liked, but he was able to salvage his day with the two scores.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 18-of-22 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 win against the Carolina Panthers.
Huddle Up: Mayfield and the Browns have five victories, looking like an NFL caliber team for the first time in a while. The rookie has emerged as a high-end QB2, and could push into that QB1 area in 2019. He is a strong dynasty option, too.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield went 29-for-43 for 397 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions against the Houston Texans in Week 13.
Huddle Up: Mayfield was playing well over the last few weeks but struggled against the Texans this week. He will be facing the Carolina Panthers in Week 14 and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield is the first rookie quarterback in league history to throw at least three touchdown passes with no interceptions in consecutive games.
Huddle Up: Mayfield has been on a undeniable roll since the coaching change in Cleveland, but keep in the mind the above two games came against the Falcons and Bengals, which happen to be the two teams allowing the most points to opposing fantasy QBs. Now, in Week 13, he gets a road matchup against the Texans, who surrender the sixth-fewest fantasy QB points, and that's why he's ranked as mid-level QB2 option.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield has shown improvement since the late-October firings of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Mayfield's 87.5 Total QBR ranks third in the league during that span, and he's completing 73.9 percent of his passes, averaging 8.76 yards per attempt with nine touchdowns and one interception.
Huddle Up: Mayfield is quietly putting up QB1-level numbers and is coming off his best game of the season, throwing for four TDs and 258 yards in the Week 12 rout of the Bengals. Even with the bye weeks now behind us, he's definitely startable in the right matchups.

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 19-of-26 passes for 258 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 12 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Mayfield has thrown at least one TD pass in each of his eight starts, and he has two or more scoring strikes in five in a row. The rookie has emerged as a low-end QB1 in fantasy leagues of 14 or more teams heading into Week 13 against the Houston Texans.
