Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Nick Folk went 0-for-3 on his field goal attempts against the New England Patriots Thursday, Oct. 5, missing from 56, 49 and 31 yards.
Huddle Up: Folk has now missed five kicks in five days so it wouldn't be unexpected if the team chose to go in another direction. If they do, Tampa Bay's new kicker could be of interest as Folk has 11 FGAs in just four games. Stay tuned.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Roberto Aguayo said he is ready to compete with PK Nick Folk for the kicker job during training camp and the preseason.
Huddle Up: Aguayo made only 71 percent of his field goals last season, so he will have to have a solid performance during the preseason to beat out Folk for the job. The Buccaneers should have one of the better offenses in the NFL in 2017, so the winner of the competition will have some fantasy value.

New York Jets PK Nick Folk (quadriceps) has a Grade 1 quadriceps strain, according to a league source. Folk is not expected to play in in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Nov. 12.
Huddle Up: The Jets will sign another kicker in the next day or two but there are plenty of better fantasy options out there. Folk will regain his starting job when he's healthy.

Updating a previous report, New York Jets PK Nick Folk (quadriceps) said Sunday, Nov. 8, that he 'felt a little pop' in his right quadriceps muscle practicing a kickoff before the Week 9 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will have an MRI Monday, Nov. 9, and his status for Week 10 is uncertain.
Huddle Up: If the Jets bring in additional kickers, consider that your cue to look for someone else to handle your fantasy team's kicking chores in Week 10.

New York Jets PK Nick Folk had discomfort in his hip following Monday night's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: A heads-up if your PK is Folk, who missed two of his four attempts Monday night.

The New York Jets placed the franchise tag on PK Nick Folk.
Huddle Up: So the Jets are committing a little over $3 million--the projected kicker tag--to lock up Folk. Because really, that's the key to them fielding a competitive club. Wait, how do you use the sarcasm tags again?

New York Jets impending free-agent PK Nick Folk said he would like to re-sign with the Jets but wants to sign a multi-year deal after having a one-year deal each of the previous four seasons.
Huddle Up: NFL kickers tend to be on short leashes, though Folk's solid season might buy him a couple extra years. There's always a need for veteran kickers, and if the Jets aren't willing to give Folk a long-term deal he could knock on a few other doors and likely turn something up.
