Free-agent RB James Robinson (Jets) is signing a two-year deal with the New England Patriots worth up to $8 million, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Robinson's days as the lead back in Jacksonville seem like a distant memory, and Belichick's history of liberal running back rotations doesn't bode well for Robinson's chances of returning to fantasy relevance.

New York Jets RB James Robinson is a "big part" of the team's plan at the running back position moving forward, according to offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, who intimated that Robinson's minimal role since being acquired was related to him coming off a major injury last season.

New York Jets RB James Robinson rushed four times for 10 yards in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings and he was not targeted in the pass game.
Huddle Up: Robinson was a fantasy stud at times during his days in Jacksonville, but he fell out of favor there once Travis Etienne Jr. was healthy, and he has yet to find his way in New York despite an injury to Michael Carter. The team went with rookie Zonovan Knight instead, and the first-year player went for 90 rushing yards, and 118 total scrimmage yards on 20 total touches. Robinson isn't worth starting in most fantasy leagues right now.

New York Jets RB Michael Carter (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 13's game versus the Minnesota Vikings. According to head coach Robert Saleh, the team will use a backfield-by-committee approach, with RBs Bam Knight, Ty Johnson and James Robinson all receiving opportunities.
Huddle Up: Carter had been listed as doutbful on the injury report after being held out of all three of the team's practice sessions during the week. Knight, Johnson and Robinson should be viewed as risky flex options in deeper fantasy leagues because it is uncertain how evenly the carries will be split amongst them.

New York Jets RB James Robinson rushed for 10 yards on seven carries against the New England Patriots in Week 11.

New York Jets RB James Robinson rushed 13 times for 48 yards in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills while adding two receptions for five yards and a touchdown.
Huddle Up: Robinson had a total of 15 touches while backfield mate Michael Carter had 12 runs and one reception. While Robinson had the score, Carter averaging 6.3 yards per rushing attempt to 3.7 yards per run for Robinson. Head coach Robert Saleh looks like he'll try and split the backfield work, but right now, Carter has a little more fantasy appeal due to his familiarity with the system.

New York Jets RB James Robinson (illness) is officially active for the Week 9 game.
Huddle Up: Robinson has been being eased into the offense after the trade and should see a few more touches this week. He could be a possible flex option in some leagues but can be benched if better options are available.

New York Jets RB James Robinson (knee) is considered a game-time decision for Week 9's contest versus the Buffalo Bills but there is optimism that he will play, according to a source. He will participate in pregame warmups before a final decision is made on his status.
Huddle Up: Robinson, who is officially listed as questionable on the injury report, would not have been a recommended option for fantasy lineups even if he was completely healthy. RB Michael Carter makes a viable flex option regardless of whether or not Robinson plays.
