Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (foot) is expected to take things slow during the offseason workouts, head coach Raheem Morris told reporters Tuesday, June 10.
Huddle Up: Pitts has been sidelined for the spring workouts and may not see the field until training camp. Largely a disappointment since his rookie campaign, Pitts should be viewed as a TE2 with some TE1 upside if he can figure things out.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts was reportedly the subject of a phone call between the Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers recently, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: The Arthur Smith-to-his-former-tight-ends connection continues to fuel the news cycle. Just a few days ago, the Steelers were reportedly checking in on Jonnu Smith. Unlike Smith, Pitts is still young (24) and huge (6-foot-6 and 250 pounds), so there is a case to be made that he could find a role as a part-timer who could become one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite back-shoulder fade targets. As would be the case for Smith, Pitts' fantasy stock would take a huge hit if he lands in Pittsburgh.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts could be available for trade as the team isn't necessarily turning calls away for him, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. The problem is Pitts is in the last year of his rookie deal, and he's owed nearly $11 million. That salary and the draft capital to acquire him may be too much for bidders, according to Schefter.
Huddle Up: Pitts was the TE11 in PPR leagues last year and is dealing with a foot injury already. That doesn't give fantasy owners a lot of confidence for someone that has failed to live up to his hype. He'll be a low-end TE1 that could have some upside with Michael Penix Jr. likely throwing to him often underneath.

Updating previous reports, Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (foot) is not practicing during organized team activities this spring due to a strained muscle in his foot, according to a source.
Huddle Up: We already knew Pitts was dealing with a foot issue that was keeping him from practice, but now we have a better idea of the particular injury. It seems unlikely the Falcons will have him practice at all during OTAs in hopes he can be fully healthy by the time training camp rolls around. Pitts will be considered a TE2 in most drafts this summer, albeit one with TE1 upside.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (foot) has been at every offseason meeting but has not participated during organized team activities due to a foot injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris. "Extremely cautious with Kyle right now and what he's got going on. Obviously, don't talk about injuries this time of year, but (we are) definitely being cautious with him, so you won't see him. He's been here, he's done such a great job. ... He's been in every single thing that we've done other than the field, and he's been absolutely outstanding to be around," Morris said.
Huddle Up: Pitts was reportedly sidelined last week due to a foot injury, so we assume Morris is also referring to that injury here. While it is a shame Pitts isn't able to work on his chemistry with Michael Penix Jr. right now, the Falcons are doing the right thing by not rushing anything at this point. Expect this to be a non-issue by the time training camp rolls around. Pitts has struggled so much with injuries and inconsistency over the last three seasons that he may now be a value in drafts as a TE2 this summer.

Although Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts is entering a contract year, the team is more likely to see how he performs on the field rather than signing him to a contract extension before or during the season, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Marc Raimondi.
Huddle Up: Pitts had 47 catches for 602 receiving yards and four touchdowns but possesses upside as a safety net for Michael Penix Jr., as he enters his first full season as the Falcons' starting quarterback. Pitts had attracted interest from other clubs this offseason but assuming he remains in Atlanta, he can be viewed as a high-end TE2 fantasy option.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts has been the subject of trade calls the team has received, according to sources. The team would prefer to keep him, and it would take at least a Day 2 pick to spark Atlanta's interest.
Huddle Up: Pitts was the TE15 last season with a 47-602-4 campaign. He could have sneaky upside as a security net for Michael Penix Jr. Pitts is dealing with a foot issue right now, which is something to monitor for the high-end TE2 option.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (foot) did not practice Tuesday, May 27, because a foot injury but was at the team facility.
Huddle Up: Pitts does not appear to be sitting out because of his contract, so he may be back on the field before training camp. The team is optimistic that Pitts will be a valuable part of the offense in 2025. Pitts can still be a low-end No. 1 tight end on most leagues because of his potential.

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts is expected to take "a big jump" in his second year in offensive coordinator Zac Robinson's system. "I'm expecting Kyle to take a big jump. You know, Year 2 of the system. Year 2 of understanding what we're trying to do offensively. All those things that come with it, so expecting a lot of good things from Kyle. He knows what he needs to work on with the details, some of the fundamentals and techniques, the consistency down in and down out, those are things we talk about with him and (tight ends coach Kevin) Koger talks about with him all the time is those finer details and that next level that he can take as a player. So I'm pumped for Kyle, can't wait to get on the field with him and that's going to be a lot of fun to see his growth," Robinson said.
Huddle Up: Pitts remains one of the great mysteries of the league since posting a 1,000-yard season as a rookie in 2021. Injuries contributed greatly to two of those disappointing seasons, while uneven quarterback play slowed him down as well. Still only 24 years old, Pitts should be entering his prime soon. The beauty of pursuing him in fantasy this season is that he should come as cheaply as he ever has, meaning he will probably be viewed as a TE2 in most leagues. The problem is exactly what Robinson suggested: it is not great for a player heading into his fifth season to still need so much work on the "finer details" of his position.
