New England Patriots QB Mac Jones went 22-for-30 for 186 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the New York Jets in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Jones did not have to do much in the game in order for the Patriots to win. He has completed at least 73 percent of his passes in each of the first two games but has only one touchdown. He should only be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues next week.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones finished 9-of-13 with a touchdown when under pressure against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
Huddle Up: Jones avoided mistakes in what was an efficient debut, and while he may not be able to match the ceiling of some other young quarterbacks, he may end up being one of the steadiest performers of the group.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones completed 29 of 39 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
Huddle Up: Jones played about as well as could be expected given what was asked of him, efficiently moving the offense and staying away from the big mistake. He didn't take many shots downfield, but he still averaged nearly 10 yards per completed pass and spread the ball around nicely. Jones wouldn't be a bad QB2 stash if you have a strong QB1 in place.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is the starting quarterback after QB Cam Newton was released Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Huddle Up: Jones will have some upside as a QB2 and will be a popular waiver claim. There still isn't a lot around him to get too excited, but he opened some eyes in the preseason.

New England Patriots first-round pick QB Mac Jones (Alabama) signed a four-year contract worth $15.6 million Tuesday, July 6. The deal includes a signing bonus worth $8.7 million and a fifth-year team option.
Huddle Up: Jones appears primed to give Cam Newton a run for his money for the right to start Week 1. Even if he falls short, the odds are strong he will get in multiple starts this season. However, even if/when the rookie overtakes the veteran, his fantasy upside would likely fall into the low-end QB2 range.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones had some notable missed throws during practice Friday, June 4.
Huddle Up: Jones is expected to compete with Cam Newton for the starting job but may need more time before taking over the job. He probably should only be an option in keeper leagues at this point.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones (leg) was wearing a compression sleeve on his lower right leg and did not participate in the final session of practice Friday, June 4.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is steadily making an impression in the team's OTAs, head coach Bill Belichick said Friday, June 4. 'He's working hard. He puts in a lot of time (and) certainly giving his very best effort to do everything we've asked him to do and do it the way we've asked him to do it, which is a great place to start,' Belichick said of the rookie first-round pick. 'He's earned a lot of respect for that. But he's got a long way to go. We'll see how it goes.'
Huddle Up: Expect season veteran Cam Newton to start the season, but if Newton's 2020 throwing woes crop up again and the Pats are struggling, look for the rookie Jones to get the nod over more established commodities Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham as Belichick and Co. will be eager to see what they have. Outside of dynasty and super-deep two-QB leagues, though, Jones' fantasy value is next to nil.

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones 'works' for the offense, according to a coach in the AFC East. 'And they'll also be able to run the 'O' the way Josh McDaniels wants it run, especially with the two tight ends they added,' the coach said.

Alabama QB Mac Jones was selected by the New England Patriots with the 15th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: The Patriots already have Cam Newton in house, so Jones could begin his NFL career on the sidelines. If he is given the reins of the offense, expect the Patriots to deploy a conservative attack that limits his fantasy upside.
