Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields replaced QB Andy Dalton (knee) and completed six of his 13 passes for 60 yards and an interception and rushed 10 times for 31 yards in a 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.
Huddle Up: Fields struggled moving the ball through the air, but he wasn't shy about trying to make plays with his legs. His running ability will make him an intriguing streaming option if Andy Dalton misses any time with his knee injury.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields is expected to receive more snaps against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: It appears like Fields will take over the starting job in the near future. Fantasy players can consider adding him to their rosters if he is still available in their leagues because he could become a No. 1 fantasy quarterback before the end of the season.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields will start the final preseason game as head coach Matt Nagy named QB Andy Dalton the starter.
Huddle Up: It's just a matter of time before the kid takes the reins. He could be worth stashing in single-year leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields completed nine of his 19 passes for 80 yards and rushed four times for 46 yards in a 41-15 preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills Saturday, Aug. 21.
Huddle Up: Although Andy Dalton is likely to open the season as the starter, it is only a matter of time before Fields has his chance to run the show. His running ability will give him QB1 upside, making him a potential stash candidate in redraft leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (groin) will return to practice Thursday, Aug. 19, after sitting out the previous day. Bears head coach Matt Nagy says the team will play it cautious with Fields, limiting his reps, but added that he expects Fields to play Saturday in the Bears' preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
Huddle Up: Great sign for Fields and Bears fans as it sounds like Wednesday's absence was more precautionary than anything. Fields is a sleeper candidate being drafted as a low-end QB2.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (groin) is out of practice Wednesday, Aug. 18, with a groin injury.
Huddle Up: He's questionable to play in this week's preseason game, and that would give Andy Dalton a step up in the competition. Fields could wind up the starter by Week 1 or Week 2, but he's little more than a QB2 option in single-year leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields went 14-for-20 for 142 yards and one touchdown in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 14. Fields also rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown on five carries.
Huddle Up: The Bears plan to start Andy Dalton Week 1, but Fields should take over the starting job at some point during the 2021 season. He should be considered a No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues during his rookie season.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields threw three touchdown passes Thursday, Aug. 12, and rushed for one in the red zone vs. the Miami Dolphins in a joint practice. It should be noted, however, quarterbacks wore non-contact jerseys during the session.
Huddle Up: This will get some gamers geeked about his chances for assuming the starting job from Andy Dalton at some point in 2021, a move that is likely inevitable. Keep an eye on Fields' maturation and preseason play before considering him more than a flier in two-QB leagues. His value in dynasty formats is sound as a QB2 or spot-starter in the next couple of years.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields 'clearly did his homework' and has 'really impressed' with the progress he has made since the end of offseason workouts, according to comments made by head coach Matt Nagy on Tuesday, July 27.
Huddle Up: It's a matter of when - and not if - Fields will take over for Andy Dalton this season, but there's been no indication Nagy has any interest in letting the rookie compete to start in Week 1. It is a somewhat understandable stance given early games against what should be very good defenses in the Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns, but there's also not a good pocket of softer matchups to ease him in until after the Week 10 bye. Fields is still worth taking late in drafts for his amazing upside, but it might be a while until he is handed the starting job.
