Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson (calf) is expected to be a full participant at practice this week, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday, Oct. 8. Wilson will work with the second-team offense in an effort to not disrupt Justin Fields' preparation for the Week 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Huddle Up: It will be interesting to see what the plan is for Wilson once he's fully ready to go. He doesn't need to be rostered, but the situation bears monitoring.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields will remain the starter for the Week 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Huddle Up: Russell Wilson is getting closer to being a full participant in practice, but Fields is still the starter entering Week 6. He's a fringe QB1 option for managers to consider.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields finished 15-of-27 for 131 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 versus the Dallas Cowboys. Fields also ran six times for 27 yards.
Huddle Up: While offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has done wonders for Fields in regards to cutting down his turnovers, it is a bit maddening that Fields is not being unleashed more often on an offense that lacks playmakers after George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth. However, part of that might be the product of how Pittsburgh wants to play, which means relying on a power-running game and its defense. Fields will likely remain the starting quarterback ahead of Russell Wilson and probably serve as a game manager again in Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens has caught 20 of 29 targets (69% catch rate) for 284 yards and 12 first downs through four games with Justin Fields as his quarterback. Last season, Pickens hauled in 64 of 107 targets (59.8) for 1154 yards and five touchdowns from Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky.
Huddle Up: Fantasy managers were likely hoping for a faster start from Pickens given how he ended last year, but a conservative offense and a couple of difficult primary matchups against A.J. Terrell (Atlanta Falcons) and Pat Surtain (Denver Broncos) have kept his production down a bit. With four of his Pittsburgh's next five games coming against the Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants and Washington Commanders, Pickens could be poised for huge fantasy production over the next month or so.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields is expected to make his fifth consecutive start in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys, based on comments from head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Huddle Up: It is getting more difficult by the week to imagine a scenario in which Fields stays healthy and gives the starting job back to Russell Wilson (calf). Not only is he completing 70.6% of his passes so far - which would easily be a career high for him - but Week 4 was the first time this season in which Fields showed his immense upside in nearly bringing Pittsburgh back from a 17-0 deficit. Fields should very much be considered a fantasy QB1 option for Sunday night's game against the Cowboys.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields completed 22-of-34 passes for 312 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts. He also had 10 runs for a team-high 55 yards and two touchdowns.
Huddle Up: Fields was expected to be the backup to Russell Wilson this season, but an injury to the latter opened the door for Fields to open as the starter. It's hard to imagine, even if Wilson were to be healthy, that coach Mike Tomlin would shift from Fields now. He posted QB1-type numbers in Week 4, but remains more of a QB2 in most leagues heading into Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields is preparing to start in Week 4, but QB Russell Wilson (calf) has not been ruled out yet, head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
Huddle Up: It's status quo for the Steelers ahead of their Week 4 game. Fields appears to be on track to start for now, but the Steelers have yet to decide if he will keep the job for the long haul once Wilson is healthy. Assuming he gets another start, Fields is a shaky QB2 option.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields went 25-for-32 for 245 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. He also rushed for six yards and one touchdown on six carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Fields probably will keep the starting job for the time being after his best game of the season for the Steelers. He should be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues and could be a possible low-end No. 1 quarterback in some deeper leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields is being prepared to start in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Huddle Up: Fields is the QB28 after two weeks and really only has use in two-QB leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Justin Fields completed 13-of-20 passes for 117 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos, while running eight times for 27 yards.
Huddle Up: Fields made a second straight start for the injured Russell Wilson, and the team won for the second time in those starts. That being said, he has been more valuable to his real team than to fantasy managers. He'll face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3 if Wilson cannot start, but we'll see what head coach Mike Tomlin decides to do if Wilson is healthy enough to go.
