Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields will be the team's starter next season, according to general manager Ryan Pace. The team, which holds the No. 1 overall draft pick, would have to be blown away to take a quarterback with the selection.
Huddle Up: Fields was a top-five option in fantasy all season, but he poses an injury risk. Lamar Jackson was of a similar build in fantasy but has never been able to stay healthy enough to remain the dominant fantasy option. Keep that in mind when taking him so highly next year.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 6, and has been ruled out for Week 18.
Huddle Up: Nathan Peterman is in line to start for the Bears in the final regular season game but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (hip) has been ruled out for Week 18 with hip soreness.
Huddle Up: Nathan Peterman is the backup. The 28-year-old journeyman was a fifth-round pick out of Pitt in 2017 and has bounced around to three teams. He has 74 career completions on 141 attempts (52.5 percent) for 598 yards, three TDs and 13 picks. He offers little-to-no fantasy value, and Fields' absence will have ramifications on the running backs negatively.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields is not guaranteed to play in Week 18 because head coach Matt Eberflus said the team will talk about the possibility of holding out Fields and other players. Eberflus did say Fields will play if healthy.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Fields will play or be held out. He has become a weekly starting fantasy option because of his running ability, but players should have a backup plan ready.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields rushed for 132 yards on 10 carries against the Detroit Lions in Week 17. He also went 7-for-21 for 75 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the game.

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (shoulder, foot) said he expects to play in the Week 17 game even though he aggravated his shoulder injury in the last game and also had his foot stepped on during the game. Head coach Matt Eberflus said the team plans to have Fields play in the final two games if he is healthy.
Huddle Up: Fields probably will not do a lot during practice this week but should be available for the Week 17 game. He has become a No. 1 fantasy quarterback this season and should start in all fantasy leagues.
