Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 17, but is not on the injury report for Week 2.
Huddle Up: Gronkowski posted two touchdowns in the season opener and caught all eight of his targets. He continues to have a great connection with Tom Brady and is a must-start option this week because of the matchup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski caught eight passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.
Huddle Up: Much like Antonio Brown, Gronkowski should be better prepared to deliver value in his second season with the Bucs. That certainly appeared to be the case Thursday night as he made several big plays and caught all eight passes that were thrown his way. It was also interesting that neither Cameron Brate nor O.J. Howard were even targeted. Granted, it's only one week, and the team should be wary of overextending the 32-year-old tight end, but he certainly appears he could deliver TE1 value in 2021. In the off chance Gronk went undrafted it your league don't hesitate to scoop him off the waiver wire.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski (non-injury) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.
Huddle Up: The Buccaneers have a lot of depth at tight end, but Gronkowski should still see a few targets each game. He could be a possible starting option in very deep leagues, but fantasy players in most leagues can find better options.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski said Friday, Sept. 3, that most everything feels better about his second season with the team. 'It feels good,' Gronkowski said in an NFL Network interview. 'Just coming in last year and trying to learn the playbook and be thinking when you get up to the line -- it just feels a lot more efficient this year. ... I just feel a lot better.'
Huddle Up: Gronk finished eighth among tight ends in 2020 with 149.3 PPR points. And while he's feeling more at home in his second season with the Bucs, he's now a year older at 32 and the competition for targets and playing time is even stronger with TE O.J. Howard back after playing only four games in 2020, WR Antonio Brown now there from the start of the season and Giovani Bernard added as a pass-catching RB. It all adds up to less volume for Gronk and a mid-level TE2 valuation heading into the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski said the Buffalo Bills were one of the teams he talked to before he decided to re-sign with the Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: The Bills have been linked to multiple tight ends this offseason, but Dawson Knox appears to be the leading candidate to start in 2021. He will have a decent role in the passing game but should only be a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski agreed to terms on a new one-year contract with the Buccaneers Monday, March 15, worth as much as $10 million.
Huddle Up: Gronkowski came out of retirement this season and was a solid part of the passing game for the Super Bowl champions. He should have a similar role next season and can be a No. 1 tight end in most fantasy leagues.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski told TMZ he'll be returning for a second year of post-retirement play. 'I'm back, man!' Gronkowski said. 'I will be back playing football, man. I love the game of football. I loved playing last year. I had a great time.'
Huddle Up: Gronkowski will be 32 years old entering the 2021 NFL season but showed he still has plenty left to offer with 45 receptions for 623 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 regular-season games last year. He's an impending free agent, but there's no reason to expect him to sign anywhere but with Tampa Bay. He'll again be a mid-to-low tier TE1, and he also helps to elevate the fantasy stock of QB Tom Brady.
