Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (leg, ankle) is expected to be ready "well before training camp" after suffering a broken fibula, according to a source Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Huddle Up: Set to be a free agent, Pollard's injury could decrease his value in the market. With that said, he should have plenty of suitors regardless of the injury.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (leg, ankle) underwent surgery Tuesday, Jan. 24, to repair the high-ankle sprain he suffered in the NFC Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers. The broken left fibula he suffered on the same play will reportedly heal on its own.
Huddle Up: The timing of this injury couldn't be much worse for Pollard, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent in less than two months. While he should be cleared for training camp by the time it rolls around in July, it is unclear right now if the injuries could impact his explosiveness in 2023. He will turn 26 years old in April to boot, meaning he may only have another two years in his prime. Regardless, Pollard should not be hurting for free-agent interest or offers this spring.

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain along with a fractured fibula Sunday, Jan. 22, and the recovery window is about three months.
Huddle Up: Surgery is an option, and we'll know more in the coming days. The recovery timetable puts him right up against the start of free agency. Pollard emerged as a low-end RB1, high-end RB2 option in fantasy, and if he's in a position to play more without someone vulturing his TDs, he could be a midrange RB1 in PPR.

Updating earlier reports, Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (leg) sustained a fractured left fibula during the team's Divisional Round matchup with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Jan. 22. The injury will require surgery, according to ESPN's Todd Archer. Pollard is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March.
Huddle Up: With Dallas' season coming to an end on Sunday, Pollard will have the entire offseason to recover. How the injury affects his market in free agency remains to be seen, and obviously his eventual destination will help determine his value for the 2023 campaign. In the right spot, Pollard could be a legitimate RB1.

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (ankle) will not return to the divisional round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers after exiting with an ankle injury.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (lower body) suffered an apparent lower left leg or ankle injury in the second quarter of the NFC Divisional Round playoff game agaisnt the San Francisco 49ers. He was tackled, and a defender inadvertently pinned his left ankle under him, and Pollard went to the ground immediately in pain. He was carted to the locker room with his sock and shoe off.
Huddle Up: Pollard looks like he may have suffered a serious injury, but that's purely speculation. On the telecast, his injury was compared to Patrick Mahomes' injury Saturday which resulted in a high ankle sprain. Either way, it seems unlikely he'll be returning, so Ezekiel Elliott is likely to be the primary ball carrier down the stretch.

Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent RB Tony Pollard is a candidate for the franchise tag this offseason if the two sides are not able to reach an agreement before the deadline.
Huddle Up: Pollard recorded his first 1,000-yard season in 2022 and also posted 371 receiving yards during the season. He is a big part of the Cowboys offense and likely will be with the team for at least one more season. He can be a No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues next season.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard rushed a game-high 77 yards on 15 carries in the NFC wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday, Jan. 16. He also added three receptions for 12 yards on his three targets.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard rushed seven times for just 19 yards in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders, and he did not have a catch with just one target.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (thigh) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 6, and is not on the injury report for Week 18. The Cowboys did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Pollard should be involved in the running and passing game this week and will see a good amount of targets during the game. He can be considered at least a flex option in all fantasy leagues.
