Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard has been getting reps at wide receiver during the team's OTAs, head coach Mike McCarhy said Thursday, June 3.
Huddle Up: There's an asterisk, though, as the Cowboys have been missing several wideouts in workouts. It's also a position that's much deeper than running back as Pollard remains the primary backup to Ezekiel Elliott, who missed only one game last season but was hampered by a nagging calf injury and inefficiency. Pollard remains a 4 -- as in a RB4 -- for 2021 fantasy purposes.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard was limited to 12 yards on nine carries and caught one of his two targets for eight yards in Week 16 versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: It's hard to believe many fantasy owners kept Pollard in their lineup once it became clear Ezekiel Elliott was going to play this weekend. Needless to say, they got burned if they did so. Pollard figures to have week-winning upside anytime he has the backfield to himself in this offense like he did in Week 15, but Elliott is going to keep a pretty firm grasp on his job for the long-term - if only because his contract says he should. Pollard is not an advisable fantasy play in Week 17 against the New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard rushed for 39 yards on 11 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. He also caught two passes for nine yards and one touchdown during the game.
Huddle Up: Pollard has received a bigger offensive role over the last few weeks and probably will continue to split playing time with Ezekiel Elliott. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues next week.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard rushed five times for 60 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings and he was not targeted in the pass game.
Huddle Up: The touchdown was nice, but Pollard is going to have to see more touches before he has fantasy appeal outside of the deepest of leagues. As long as Ezekiel Elliott remains healthy Pollard's fantasy ceiling is rather limited. The Cowboys host Washington on Thanksgiving in Week 12.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard ran for a game-high 57 yards on nine carries and gained a yard on his only catch in Week 9 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: Pollard entered the weekend as a potential fantasy RB2 despite a bad matchup, but that all changed once Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) was cleared to go. The erosion of the Cowboys' offensive line and loss of Dak Prescott has removed some of the luster from Pollard's status as an elite handcuff, and he probably should be on fantasy benches in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings following Dallas' Week 10 bye.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard carried the ball seven times for 40 yards in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also had a pair of receptions for 24 yards in the loss.
Huddle Up: Pollard was arguably Dallas' most effective offensive player Sunday night, though that statement could accurately be described as damning with faint praise. His usage has been pretty steady, though the production has fluctuated. With a tertiary role in Dallas' offense, Pollard only really holds value as a handcuff to Ezekiel Elliott.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard ran 10 times for 31 yards and he added two grabs for nine yards on four targets in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: Pollard actually had the longest run of the night for Dallas, and he saw a few more touches with starter Ezekiel Elliott losing two fumbles in the first half. Zeke isn't losing his job, so Pollard will only have fantasy appeal in the event of injury.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard rushed three times for 16 yards and a touchdown while adding one catch for 16 yards on his two targets in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns.
Huddle Up: The touchdown was nice, but Pollard won't see enough touches to warrant fantasy consideration as long as Ezekiel Elliott remains healthy. The Cowboys host the Giants in Week 5.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard could be used in a variety of ways by head coach Mike McCarthy, similar to how McCarthy deployed RB Ty Montgomery while he was with the Green Bay Packers, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Pollard finished his rookie year with 562 total yards, including 107 through the air, and three scores. Even if he does see more snaps as a receiver, he will still be just handcuff to Ezekiel Elliott for fantasy purposes.

Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard was credited with 10 broken tackles on 86 rushing attempts in 2019, joining Malcolm Brown as the only players with fewer than 100 carries to break at least 10 tackles.
