Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard rushed 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins, while adding two receptions for 20 yards on his two targets.
Huddle Up: Pollard had his best game since opening the season with 82 yards (5.1 yards per attempt) and a touchdown in Chicago in Week 1. In fact, at home this season, he has 23 runs for 76 rushing yards and no scores, while he has 38 rushes for 170 yards and two scores in two games on the road. Bad news for fantasy managers, as Pollard is off in Week 5, then he and the Titans are back home in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard ran six times for just 14 yards in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, while adding three receptions for 15 yards on four targets.
Huddle Up: Pollard's line was crushing for fantasy managers, as 2.3 yards per carry simply won't cut it, and nine total touches isn't very promising. The Titans went to a more pass-oriented offense after slipping behind by a large margin early on. He'll look to bounce back in Week 4 at Miami, but treat him more as a RB3 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams.

Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard rushed for 62 yards on 17 carries against the New York Jets in Week 2. He also caught five passes for 40 yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Pollard has become the main running back for the Titans and will be involved in the running and passing game moving forward. He can be considered a No. 2 running back or flex option in fantasy leagues most weeks.

Tennessee Titans RBs Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard are "both starting players to me," according to head coach Brian Callahan. "The fun part for me is: How are we going to deploy those guys? Maybe they both play at the same time, maybe one gets hot and you let him run, maybe we just rotate back and forth. I don't know what that's going to look like yet. But they are both going to play quite a bit of football for us, and I don't view either one of them as a starter or a back-up. They are both starting players to me," Callahan said.
Huddle Up: Fantasy managers typically frown on comments that provide no hint of one player emerging as a true Week 1 starter, but huge upside can sometimes be found in uncertain backfields. Pollard will almost certainly open the season as the 1A back given the three-year, $21.75 million contract he signed this spring. With that said, Spears offers enough explosiveness that he could be a great flex or low-end RB2 option - almost like a poor man's De'Von Achane - with limited work. Fantasy managers should be happy to land either player as a RB3 or flex option.

Tennessee Titans RBs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are viewed comparatively as the duo has been working together in the offseason program. "Both guys, you don't have to worry about in terms of counting touches in terms of handoffs, running the ball. Because they can both catch the ball fairly well out of the backfield," running backs coach Randy Jordan said. "So, in that respect, I am not counting touches in terms of rushes. I'm counting, "Hey, you got 10 rushes, but you also got six catches, and that's a total of 16." And I think they're getting a really good feel for each other on and off the field."
Huddle Up: Spears has more home-run ability than Pollard, who tanked in his first opportunity as the bell cow in Dallas. Both are probably low-end RB2/high-end RB3s, but Spears' explosiveness gives him the upside.

Tennessee Titans RBs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are expected to split the backfield workload in a "1A, 1B" situation, said offensive coordinator Nick Holz on Wednesday, April 10. "We see it 1A, 1B, and they're both just gonna play a ton, get a lot of carries and let 'em roll," Holz said.
Huddle Up: Who will be the 1A in this situation is up for debate. Both Pollard and Spears have proven to be explosive backs, but the overall split in the backfield may make it a moot point for fantasy managers. View both as high-end RB3 options until more clarity on the split is given.
