Johnson (oblique), DT Ed Oliver (hamstring), S Taylor Rapp (concussion) and WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 4, and have been ruled out for Week 5 versus the Houston Texans. LB Terrel Bernard (pectoral) and CB Taron Johnson (forearm) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. QB Josh Allen (hand), OT Dion Dawkins (hamstring), DT DaQuan Jones (rest), TE Quintin Morris (shoulder) and QB Mitchell Trubisky (knee) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) was ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Houston Texans, the team announced Friday, Oct. 4.
Huddle Up: With Shakir out, managers will have to pivot for a potential flex option. Curtis Samuel should see some increased usage, but he's likely a risky WR4/5 type. This should make for a nice bump in targets for Dalton Kincaid and Keon Coleman.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.
Huddle Up: It is looking like Shakir will be questionable at best for the Week 5 game, so fantasy players may want to look for other options to use in their lineups this week.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Huddle Up: Shakir has been a reliable option for the Bills so far this season, so fantasy players should keep an eye on his status. He could be a possible flex option in some deeper leagues if he plays.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) is considered day-to-day because of an ankle injury, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir hauled in four of his five targets for 62 yards in Week 4 versus the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: Shakir did most of his damage on a scramble drill play in which he got behind the defense for a 51-yard catch-and-run that left him three yards shy of scoring a touchdown. Considering how bad of a day it was for the Buffalo offense, fantasy managers should be happy to get what they did from the third-year pro. A Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans is not any easier for the Bills, but Shakir is a big enough part of the offense to be a serviceable fantasy WR3 again.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir (ankle) left the Week 4 game against the Baltimore Ravens in the first quarter due to a right ankle injury. He was seen on the telecast getting his right ankle re-taped by the training staff on the sidelines.
Huddle Up: It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, and it appears he is getting ready to go back into the game on the team's next drive. If, for some reason he is forced to miss time, it's good news for Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel, as they'd likely see more work.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir ended up with six receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: Shakir has seen his receptions and yardage totals go up in each of the three games so far, and he has scored in two of those outings. He is a solid WR3 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir caught five passes on five targets for a team-high 54 yards in a 31-10 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. He also ran once for two yards.
Huddle Up: Buffalo has thrown the ball just 42 times through two games, but Shakir has caught all eight of his targets. For the time being, he appears to be the safest option in the Buffalo passing game, which is no surprise given he's the only wideout that had experience playing with Josh Allen. His long-term outlook is a bit murkier, making him no more than roster depth in standard leagues.
