Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir led all receivers in catch percentage last year at 86.7 percent. The stat is based on receptions, divided by targets, and it provides a percentage to illustrate how often a player successfully hauled in a targeted pass.
Huddle Up: Shakir had 39 catches on 45 targets last season. He was the WR60 in PPR leagues, which makes him a meager WR5, but he had 10 catches (on 12 targets) for 75 yards and two scores in the two playoff games. He's a player you can bank on seeing a bigger role next season and would be worth at least a WR4 pickup with upside.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir caught three passes for 31 yards and one touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card playoff game. He was targeted three times during the game.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir hauled in all six of his targets for 105 yards in Week 18 versus the Miami Dolphins.
Huddle Up: Barring a huge performance or two during the NFL Playoffs, Shakir's season will likely fly under the radar. Don't let it happen to you. First of all, he appears to be first in line to replace impending free-agent Gabe Davis as Stefon Diggs' wingman in 2024. Secondly, he caught a remarkable 87 percent of his targets and averaged 15.6 yards per catch despite not running a high percentage of deep or intermediate routes. While it is unlikely he will make a huge splash this postseason, his prospects of being a strong sleeper option in 2024 drafts look very good at the moment.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir posted three receptions for 47 yards in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has posted a passer rating of 145.4 when targeting Khalil Shakir this season, according to Pro Football Reference. That mark is the best in the league among qualified pass-catchers.
Huddle Up: While there is no question that Shakir's 81-yard touchdown catch in Week 11 helped put him over the top, it appears as though the Bills are starting to acknowledge Shakir is a better sidekick for Stefon Diggs than Gabe Davis, who has been shut out in two of the last three weeks. Shakir's lack of targets makes him a bit of a risky play for now - he has more than four in only one game - but Buffalo may have no choice but to increase his role if he continues to deliver as often as he has with limited opportunities.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir posted three receptions for a game-high 115 yards in Week 11 against the New York Jets, highlighted by an 81-yard touchdown in the third quarter which was a great individual effort after the catch.
Huddle Up: Shakir had 19 total catches in the first nine games with 248 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Don't overvalue his fantasy appeal based on one long touchdown. He is still behind Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis and Dalton Kincaid in the pecking order for targets, but he does have some upside. In deeper leagues, he is worth stashing away, as his role has been increasing slightly over the past month.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir had just a single 24-yard catch on his two targets in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.

Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir absorbed all four of his targets for 57 yards in the Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football.
Posted: 10/27/2023 6:29 am GMT
Buffalo Bills WR Khalil Shakir caught all six of his targeted passes for 92 yards during the team's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Huddle Up: After managing four receptions over the first six weeks, Shakir has caught 10 passes for 127 yards over the last two. The increased role is something those in deeper leagues might want to take note of. For those in standard leagues, Shakir is watch-list material at best.
