Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) is officially active for the Week 12 game.
Huddle Up: Pierce missed nearly a month because of the injury, so he may not receive his normal workload in Week 12. He should still see a good amount of touches during the game and can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) is expected to be active for the Week 12 game even though he is listed as questionable for the game, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players can check the inactive list for Pierce's official status, but it seems he will be involved in the offense even if he does not receive his regular workload. He can be at least a flex option in fantasy leagues.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 24, but is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Huddle Up: Pierce should be available to play this week, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He may share playing time with Devin Singletary in Week 12 but can still be at least a flex option in leagues.

Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (knee), LB Jake Hansen (hamstring, hand) and S Jimmie Ward (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) was "making strides before he got hurt," according to offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. Per Slowik, the Texans "believe wholeheartedly in sharing the load (at running back)."
Huddle Up: The Texans apparently started believing wholeheartedly in the committee approach sometime around Week 6, as Pierce held an 84-27 advantage in carries over Devin Singletary through five games. Be that as it may, Singletary has been a stud in two of the three games Pierce has missed, rushing for at least 112 yards and a touchdown in both outings. Pierce cannot be expected to be much more than a middling flex when he returns - which will likely be this weekend - until he proves otherwise.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.
Huddle Up: Pierce should return to the lineup this week after missing some time because of the injury. He likely will see a good amount of touches during the game and can be a No. 2 running back or flex option in leagues.

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Huddle Up: Pierce appears to be on track to play this week and should receive a good amount of carries if he is active. He can be a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues if he is cleared to play.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Huddle Up: We'll have to wait for the injury report to know exactly how much Pierce did, but this puts him on track to return in Week 12. However, after a monster game from Devin Singletary, Pierce, who has been woefully disappointing in 2023, may be forced to split work with the veteran back more than he has previously. Pierce is best left on the bench this week to see how things shake out.
