Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Dec. 17. He will not return this season.
Huddle Up: The Texans are wisely shutting Pierce down even if it hurts fantasy managers. He'll look to build on a solid rookie year in 2023, and managers could look to Rex Burkhead or Dare Ogunbowale as deep PPR options.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 16, and has been ruled out for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale probably will share playing time with Pierce unavailable. Burkhead may have more value since he has had success in the past and can be a flex option in leagues.

Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (foot), CB Steven Nelson (foot), RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) and CB Derek Stingley Jr. (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. DT Taylor Stallworth (calf) did not practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Dec. 16, and has also been ruled out. WR Brandin Cooks (calf) and OG Kenyon Green (ankle) were limited in practice Friday but have been ruled out as well. OG Justin McCray (hamstring) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. OT Laremy Tunsil (illness), DT Kurt Hinish (shoulder), DT Roy Lopez (hip) and FB Troy Hairston (chest) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report. DL Mario Addison (rest), DT Maliek Collins (rest) and DE Jerry Hughes (rest) were not given a practice designation for a second straight day on Friday but are expected to play.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) did not practice for the second-straight day on Thursday, Dec. 15.
Huddle Up: Pierce is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that is expected to sideline him for one to two weeks. In his stead, the Texans will use some combination of Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogbunwale, with the former expected to lead the way. Burkhead might return flex value, but fantasy managers are encouraged to look elsewhere for help.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 15, and likely out for Week 15.
Huddle Up: Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale are likely to split the work, and they'll be flex candidates. Burkhead would receive the nod in PPR leagues.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Huddle Up: Pierce is expected to miss time because of the injury, so fantasy players will need to look for other options. Rex Burkhead and Dare Ogunbowale probably will share playing time this week and could be flex options in leagues.

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) will miss at least one, maybe two games, due to a high-ankle sprain.
Huddle Up: RBs Rex Burkhead, Dare Ogunbowale and Eno Benjamin will split the work with Burkhead probably the most useful in fantasy. Pick him up in most formats. Ogunbowale could also take the early down work with Burkhead on third downs and passing situations. He's another option to pick up as a flex candidate.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for most of the fourth quarter in Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys. According to head coach Lovie Smith, the injury is "concerning," but it would take "an awful lot to keep (Pierce) from playing (in Week 15)" versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: For now, fantasy managers should prepare to be without Pierce or at least expect a scaled-back workload. In his absence Sunday, Dare Ogunbowale, Eno Benjamin and Rex Burkhead all saw work, which would likely be the plan of attack against Kansas City. Short of complete desperation, it would be difficult for fantasy managers to start any of those three players if Pierce doesn't play versus the Chiefs.

Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the Week 14 game and is considered questionable to return.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation to see how long Pierce will be sidelined. He is a starting option in all leagues when healthy, but players may need other options ready.
