San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy's contract extension could get done soon, according to comments from general manager John Lynch on Monday, March 31. While team owner Jed York stated the deal "should not be hard to do," he suggested that Purdy was the one who was holding things up.
Huddle Up: This is likely much ado about nothing, as the two sides seem to understand their marriage is the best thing for both parties. Considering the 49ers' moves this offseason - or the lack thereof - it seems clear they are ready to move forward with talks whenever Purdy and his representation are. Purdy's contract will likely exceed $50 million per season. Regardless of when a deal gets done, Purdy should remain firmly in the low-end QB1 conversation in fantasy.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (elbow) is still expected to sign a long-term contract extension during the offseason despite his season-ending elbow injury, which is considered minor, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Huddle Up: The 25-year-old Purdy will finish the season with 3,864 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions over 15 games, along with five rushing touchdowns and 323 rushing yards. San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (elbow) will not play in Week 18, head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Wednesday, Jan. 1. QB Josh Dobbs will start in Purdy's place.
Huddle Up: Purdy injured his elbow late in the Week 17 loss to the Detroit Lions, which forced his early exit. Dobbs is not a suggested lineup option in Week 18.
