Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy received a no-trade clause for the duration of his five-year deal.
Huddle Up: He was the QB13 in 15 games last season and will have to adjust to life without Deebo Samuel. He'll be a low-end QB1 in fantasy that could sneak back into the midrange area.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension with the 49ers Friday, May 16, worth $265 million. The deal includes $181 million in guaranteed money, and Purdy will receive $165.05 million in the first three years of the extension.
Huddle Up: Purdy has played well since entering the NFL and will be the 49ers starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He did lose Deebo Samuel this offseason but will have a good group of pass catchers to work with in 2025. Purdy can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in most fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy reported for the first day of the team's offseason workout program on Tuesday, April 22.
Huddle Up: At the very least, Purdy's presence suggests at least some satisfaction with how contract extension talks are going with the team. It will likely not happen before or during the draft, but Purdy's deal does not appear to be one that will drag into the summer.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy has made some progress in contract extension talks with the 49ers.
Huddle Up: The 49ers have time to reach an agreement with Purdy, but it is a good sign that they are making some progress in the talks. He will be playing for the 49ers for at least one more season and can be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in some fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy and TE George Kittle may not participate in voluntary activities this spring as both players seek long-term extensions, according to Mike Silver of The Athletic.
Huddle Up: Fred Warner is also in that group, but he is expected to report. Silver is hearing that progress is being made with Purdy's contract, but there appears to be some uncertainty if he will report. Ditto for Kittle. The 49ers have a recent history of taking their time with extensions, but at least the Purdy deal does not feel like it will take all summer.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy's contract extension could get done soon, according to comments from general manager John Lynch on Monday, March 31. While team owner Jed York stated the deal "should not be hard to do," he suggested that Purdy was the one who was holding things up.
Huddle Up: This is likely much ado about nothing, as the two sides seem to understand their marriage is the best thing for both parties. Considering the 49ers' moves this offseason - or the lack thereof - it seems clear they are ready to move forward with talks whenever Purdy and his representation are. Purdy's contract will likely exceed $50 million per season. Regardless of when a deal gets done, Purdy should remain firmly in the low-end QB1 conversation in fantasy.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy has been talking with the 49ers about a contract extension but no agreement is believed to be imminent, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The two sides have the entire offseason to reach an agreement, so fantasy players monitor the situation over the next few months. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 quarterback or high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy has discussed a potential contract extension with the team, according to sources Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Huddle Up: Purdy is expected to be one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league when it's all said and done. After averaging 17.8 fantasy points per game last season, Purdy is a high-end QB2 with some weekly upside.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy is expected to start contract extension talks with the 49ers in the near future, and the talks likely will not drag out until training camp since both sides seem interested in agreeing to a deal, in the opinion of The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Huddle Up: Purdy likely will become one of the top paid quarterbacks in the NFL if the two sides are able to reach an agreement. He ranked 10th in the NFL with 3,864 passing yards during the regular season but had only 20 passing touchdowns. He can be a low-end No. 1 or a high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues.
