Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) continues to recover from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee suffered during the Divisional Round of the playoffs. He is expected to return at some point this season, but head coach Mike Macdonald doesn't know exactly when Charbonnet will be back. "I can't give you a timeline right now, but I can tell you he's killing it as we knew he would," coach Mike Macdonald said during the draft. "With these long-term injuries -- I say it all the time, you've just got to stack these things. You have to be able to get to the next thing and go rip it, and that's what he's doing. I'm excited for Zach."
Huddle Up: With Charbonnet out an extended period, and Kenneth Walker III moving on to the Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason, the backfield consists of free-agent signee Emanuel Wilson, rookie draft pick Jadarian Price and holdover George Holani at the top of the depth chart. Wilson is more of a power runner, Price can do a little bit of everything, and Holani is good catching the ball and in pass protection. It could be a timeshare in the Seattle backfield until Charbonnet is able to return.

Seattle Seahawks RB Jadarian Price is viewed as a replacement for RB Kenneth Walker III (Chiefs), but he isn't the clear-cut RB1 with RBs Emanuel Wilson and George Holani in the mix, and RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) expected back at some point. The team isn't asking Price to go from RB2 in college to a high-volume starter in the NFL. He averaged roughly 18.5 snaps and nearly nine touches per game over the past two seasons at Notre Dame, and he also returned kickoffs, so he could be used in that role, even with the presence of WR Rashid Shaheed.
Huddle Up: Price is likely to see a decent share of offensive touches early in his rookie season, at least until Charbonnet is healthy enough to return. With his coming back from a major injury, Charbonnet could be brought along slowly, so Price could have a meaningful role all season. However, his work in training camp and the preseason really dictates what his fantasy value will be, as the veteran Wilson has NFL experience, and Holani really came on down the stretch of the Super Bowl run. Plus, Price didn't get a lot of work catching the ball out of the backfield, which is something he needs to improve upon to get more playing time.

Seattle Seahawks first-round pick RB Jadarian Price fits the team's outside-zone running scheme as that's the system he ran in at Notre Dame. Notre Dame running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider says that system is Price's "love language." Seider also noted that Price's experience making an impact while sharing snaps with Jeremiyah Love will also benefit him once RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) returns.
Huddle Up: Charbonnet could miss the start of the season after tearing his ACL in the playoffs. That means Price will have a chance, for lack of a better pun, to take the ball and run with it. He'll be an RB2 early in the season, but be careful of overdrafting. Once Charbonnet returns, Price will shift back into an RB3 or RB4 role on your roster.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) is expected to play at some point during the 2026 regular season, according to head coach Mike Macdonald.
Huddle Up: Charbonnet suffered the injury during the playoffs, so there is a good chance that he will miss at least the first half of the season. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation because he will have fantasy value once he returns. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani could share playing time while Charbonnet is sidelined and can be possible No. 3 fantasy backs or flex options.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet's (knee) "surgery went well" and his prognosis is good, according to general manager John Schneider.
Huddle Up: While it remains to be seen if Charbonnet will be ready for the start of the season, he will likely split carries with the newly acquired Emanuel Wilson whenever he is ready for action. Assuming the Seahawks deploy a similar approach with Charbonnet and Wilson as they did with Kenneth Walker III and Charbonnet, Charbonnett will likely be a solid flex option with RB2 upside because of his touchdown potential.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) underwent surgery Friday, Feb. 20, to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Charbonnet will be able to participate in training camp since he suffered the injury during the playoffs. There is a chance that he will be the main running back if Kenneth Walker does not re-sign, but his return date is uncertain at this point. He should see a good amount of touches even if Walker returns and can be at least a No. 3 running back in leagues.

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III is expected to serve as the team's workhorse running back in the NFC Championship Game versus the Los Angeles Rams, with RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) sidelined. RBs Cam Akers and George Holani will serve as backups, according to a source, with several packages designed for each player.
Huddle Up: Walker had three touchdowns and 116 rushing yards in last week's Divisional Round playoff game versus the San Francisco 49ers and should be treated as a must-start option in all fantasy formats, especially given his success facing the Rams' defense this season. Both Holani and Akers can be viewed as flex options in playoff fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) was placed on injured reserve on Friday, Jan. 23.
Huddle Up: George Holani will likely pick up the workload that Charbonnet is giving up by being injured. The bulk of the backfield work, though, remains to be done by Kenneth Walker III.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the Divisional Round playoff game, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Charbonnet will likely miss all of the offseason workouts, so fantasy players will need to see what he can do during training camp. He is a productive player when healthy and likely will be at least a No. 3 fantasy running back next season.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) suffered a significant knee injury during the Divisional Round playoff game and will need to undergo surgery, according to head coach Mike Macdonald.
Huddle Up: Kenneth Walker III will receive most of the work at running back with Charbonnet out and will be a starting option in all fantasy leagues. Velus Jones Jr. should see a bigger role in the offense and could be a possible flex option.
