The team also released OL Ben Bartch, WR Robbie Chosen, OL Chris Hubbard, DL T.Y. McGill Jr., OL Brandon Parker, TE Eric Saubert, WR Trent Taylor, TE Logan Thomas, S Tracy Walker, DL Nick Williams and CB Rock Ya-Sin. LB Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list and DT Kalia Davis (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Davis has been designated to return later in the season.

Washington Commanders TE Logan Thomas was released on Friday, March 1.
Huddle Up: Thomas has put together some nice seasons - including 55 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in 2023 - as a tight end since making the transition from college quarterback years ago. Now 32 years of age, he will likely have to settle for a backup job somewhere in the league. Washington will now head into the new league year with John Bates and Cole Turner, although it would not be a surprise if the team added a starting-caliber option in free agency and/or the draft.
