Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said he's excited about the team's options at tight end heading into the 2019 season. 'I think that whole room has been a big upgrade in all ways,' he said. 'From Jesse (James) to T.J. (Hockenson) to Logan (Thomas) ... it's a great group for us to work with to kind of sift through those guys and find out what they're doing well,' said Bevell. 'But that's a talented group. We're really excited about all of those guys.'
Huddle Up: Lions tight ends accounted for just 13 percent of the team's catches in 2019, with Levine Toilolo leading the group with 21. The Lions used the No. 8 pick in the 2019 draft on Hockensen, who made 49 catches for 760 yards and six touchdowns in his final year at Iowa. He's worth little more than a late-round flier but could see work in the red zone. The Lions have a relatively thin receiving corps behind Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones.

Buffalo Bills TE Logan Thomas caught seven passes for 40 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 9.
Huddle Up: Thomas likely received a bigger role this week because of the injury to Charles Clay during the game. Thomas probably would be the starting tight end if Clay misses any time but would not be a strong fantasy option.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals QB Logan Thomas has been named the starting quarterback for Week 17, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Huddle Up: The Cardinals are obviously looking for answers at quarterback right now. It's doubtful that Thomas is it. Hopeful Drew Stanton will return for the playoffs but this will likely be a season of "what could have been" in Arizona.

Arizona Cardinals QB Logan Thomas and QB Ryan Lindley are both options to start in Week 16, but head coach Bruce Arians said Friday, Dec. 12, that he won't make a decision on a starter until Sunday, Dec. 14.
Huddle Up: Arizona plays the Seahawks in Weeks 16. Regardless of who starts at quarterback, no one on the Cardinals offense is going to be much of a fantasy factor next week.

Arizona Cardinals QB Logan Thomas took all of the first-team repetitions in practice this week and appears poised to start in Week 6 against the Washington Redskins. The Cardinals are still holding out hope that QB Drew Stanton (concussion) will be able to pass his concussion tests before Sunday, Oct. 12, though. Thomas went just 1-for-8 after replacing Stanton last week, and teammates have been impressed with his strong arm. The game plan isn't expected to change with Thomas under center, but they'll make sure not too much is put on his plate. Stanton remains asymptomatic and is hoping to play Sunday.
Huddle Up: Adjust down your fantasy expectations for WRs Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown if the rookie starts, but perhaps RB Andre Ellington and TE John Carlson will get more work.

Arizona Cardinals QB Logas Thomas took the first-team practice snaps for the second straight day as QBs Carson Palmer (shoulder) and Drew Stanton (concussion) were both limited.
Huddle Up: The fourth-round pick is another step closer to making his first pro start Sunday against Washington. See what transpires, though, in practice Friday.

Arizona Cardinals QB Logan Thomas will take first-team repetitions in practice Wednesday, Oct. 8, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Huddle Up: The rookie fourth-round pick completed only 1-of-8 passes after he was thrust into action Sunday in the place of the injured Drew Stanton (concussion), and it'll mean a fantasy downgrade for the Cards' pass-catchers if he has to start in Week 6 -- even against Washington's porous defense.

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton (concussion) suffered a concussion in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos. Stanton will go through the league's concussion protocol this week. The team may have to turn to QB Logan Thomas in Week 6 with QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) suffering from a nerve injury in his right shoulder.
Huddle Up: Palmer is reportedly close to returning but if he can't go, Thomas will get the start against Washington. Even against the awful Redskins defense, it would be bad news for Arizona's skill position players if Thomas is under center.
