New York Jets RB Braelon Allen could have a "pretty significant" role in the offense this season, according to SI.com's Albert Breer.
Huddle Up: It is unclear if Breer is speculating based on new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand's connections with the Detroit Lions or is reporting something he heard, but it makes sense from the perspective that he will likely need to be more involved since the Jets figure to be a run-heavy team. The 21-year-old flashed on occasion in 2024 but seemed to move into a bit of timeshare with then-fellow rookie Isaiah Davis, although that was under a different regime. If Engstrand views Allen as his David Montgomery, then it is likely Allen handles more than the 111 touches he did in 2024.

New York Jets RB Breece Hall, RB Braelon Allen and RB Isaiah Davis will all be used as much as possible next season, according to head coach Aaron Glenn.
Huddle Up: Hall has been the main running back for the Jets since joining the NFL, but it seems like he may have to share playing time with Allen and Davis next season. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during offseason workouts and training camp because Hall may only be a No. 2 running back or flex option if he does not receive a majority of the snaps at the position.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn may use a committee approach at running back this season, with Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis expected to complement Breece Hall, according to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini.
Huddle Up: Both Allen and Davis performed well in their rookie campaigns while Hall experienced statistical declines in nearly every category last season. Hall is also entering the final year of his contract, leading to speculation that he could wind up being traded, especially since CB Sauce Gardner and WR Garrett Wilson (both of whom were drafted in the same class as Hall) will be looking for long-term extensions. For now, Hall can be viewed as a low-end RB2 option for fantasy leagues, since it still appears as though he will get more carries than either Allen or Davis, who could be deployed as flex options if the matchup is favorable.

New York Jets RB Isaiah Davis rushed four times for 41 yards but was not targeted in the passing game in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins. Braelon Allen carried four times for 15 yards and also caught two of his three targets for eight yards.
Huddle Up: Allen entered the season as the unquestioned handcuff to Breece Hall and stole a fair amount of work from him early. Things began to change in early December when Hall missed a game, which allowed Davis to carve out some playing time. From that point on, Hall remained the lead back but as part of a frustrating backfield distribution that saw the two rookies take far too much work from what appeared to be a less-than-100% Hall. Allen figures to remain the primary handcuff in New York under a new coaching staff, but the threat of Davis should not be discounted entering 2025 drafts.

New York Jets RB Braelon Allen rushed for five yards on two carries against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. He also caught one pass for five yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Allen was dealing with a back injury leading up to the game, but it is not known if that limited his play this week. He probably will see a few more touches next week but can be avoided in most leagues.

Huddle Up: Allen had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging two limited practice sessions and one full session during the week. He should see a handful of carries this afternoon working behind RB Breece Hall but can still be viewed as a flex option in deeper fantasy leagues.

New York Jets RB Braelon Allen (back) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 18. The Jets did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.
