Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) is expected to be able to participate in offseason workouts, according to head coach Dave Canales.
Huddle Up: Brooks has not played much since joining the Panthers because of injuries but has a chance to earn the No. 2 running back job for the 2026 season. Fantasy players can keep an eye on his situation because he could be a late round pick in some leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) is expected to be able to contribute in 2026, according to general manager Dan Morgan "His rehab, he's doing a great job with that, making a lot of progress, so we feel good about him," Morga said. "We're happy for him. We're optimistic for him."
Huddle Up: Injuries have derailed Brooks' career to date, and he has managed just nine carries since being drafted in 2024. At this point, there is no way of knowing if he will ever be able to regain the form that made him a second-round pick.

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday, May 8, and will miss the entire 2025 season.
Huddle Up: Brooks is recovering from another torn anterior cruciate ligament and will not return until 2026. Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle probably will both see plenty of touches this upcoming season and both can be at least flex option in fantasy leagues.

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) remains without a timeline as he rehabs and recovers from the second anterior cruciate ligament tear he has suffered in as many years, according to general manager Dan Morgan.
Huddle Up: Brooks' immediate future - certainly in terms of the 2025 season - appears to be cloudy at best. Not only is he facing long odds of returning to his pre-ACL form after tearing it twice, but the Panthers also extended Chuba Hubbard during the season. It seems unlikely Brooks will have any chance to be the featured back in Carolina anytime soon - even if he can play at some point during the upcoming season.

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) suffered a torn ACL, head coach Dave Canales said Monday, Dec. 9. It is the same ACL that Brooks tore during his final collegiate season.
Huddle Up: This was the worst-case scenario for Brooks, who appeared in three games after making his way back from his first torn ACL. The promising running back will now face a long recovery process that could put his 2025 season in doubt, considering how careful the Panthers will be. For now, Chuba Hubbard remains a strong RB1.
