Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer completed 7-of-8 passes for 57 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in relief of the injured QB J.J. McCarthy (hand) in Week 18 against the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: Brosmer appeared in a handful of games, but he isn't a long-term answer in the Twin Cities, even if the team decides McCarthy also isn't the guy. It wouldn't be shocking to see the team add a big-name free-agent QB, or draft another signal caller early. Brosmer isn't a recommended fantasy option in 2026.

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (hand) checked out of the Week 18 game in the second half after apparently aggravating his right hand injury. McCarthy was 14-of-23 for 182 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions with two runs for seven yards before departing. QB Max Brosmer entered the game for McCarthy.
Huddle Up: If McCarthy is done for the day, it would be a disappointing finish to an injury-riddled season. It's especially tough for Vikings fans, as last year's QB, Sam Darnold, steered the Seattle Seahawks to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, while Minnesota has missed the playoffs. The Vikings also had Daniel Jones in the building at the end of last season, and they let him walk, too. McCarthy might not be the long-term solution, and we'll see if they bring in a veteran or use a draft pick to address the situation heading into 2026. If McCarthy is the starter again, he is nothing more than a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer completed nine of his 16 passes for 51 yards and rushed twice for 16 yards in a 23-10 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 17. He was also sacked seven times.
Huddle Up: Brosmer was barely able to move the ball through the air, but he did manage to avoid turnovers, allowing the defense to carry Minnesota to the win. That being said, throwing for just 51 yards is pitiful, and it looks like the Minnesota passing attack could be drawing dead as long as Brosmer is under center.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer will start Week 17 against the Detroit Lions due to an injury to J.J. McCarthy.
Huddle Up: As a result of Max Brosmer being named the starter for the Vikings in Week 17, you can avoid all the Vikings' offense in your fantasy lineups.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer replaced QB J.J. McCarthy (hand) during the Week 16 game against the New York Giants. Brosmer completed seven of his nine pass attempts for 52 yards in a 16-13 win.
Huddle Up: Brosmer could end up starting the final two games of the season if McCarthy is unable to play, but he isn't someone to consider taking a chance on during the fantasy playoffs.

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (hand) left the Week 16 game against the New York Giants due to a hand injury. He was hurt near the end of the second quarter, going to the locker room for treatment. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game, as QB Max Brosmer will finish up. McCarthy finished 9-of-14 for 108 yards, no touchdowns and one interception before departing.
Huddle Up: The Vikings could elect to shut down McCarthy the rest of the season with nothing to play for. We'll keep an eye out for updates on his status, and the exact source and severity of the injury. But, when healthy, he is nothing more than a low-end QB2 in fantasy leagues anyway.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer completed 19 of his 30 passes for 126 yards and four interceptions in a 26-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.
Huddle Up: Brosmer was making his first NFL start, and he looked every bit the part of an undrafted rookie. If J.J. McCarthy isn't ready to return for Week 14, it will be hard to trust any member of the Minnesota offense if Brosmer is under center once again.

Confirming a previous report, Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer will start Week 13's game against the Seattle Seahawks because QB J.J. McCarthy (concussion) is still in concussion protocol, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell.
Huddle Up: McCarthy will miss his sixth game of the season this weekend but has a chance to return to action in Week 14 versus the Washington Commanders, since he was able to participate in all three of Minnesota's practice sessions this week on a limited basis. Brosmer will be making the first start of his NFL career and is not a recommended option in any fantasy format.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer is likely to start in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks if QB J.J. McCarthy (concussion) cannot clear protocol in time.
Huddle Up: Brosmer completed 3-of-4 passes for 13 yards in mop-up duty against the Los Angeles Chargers in his most extensive action. The rookie, who played one season of Division I football at Minnesota, is a raw talent, but he is certainly not somebody to rely upon for fantasy purposes at this critical juncture of the season. If the rookie does start, that's bad news for fantasy managers of Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson, as there could be more erratic play under center.

Minnesota Vikings QB Max Brosmer could be an option if QB Carson Wentz's injured left shoulder has issues on a short week in Week 8, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell.
Huddle Up: Brosmer is an undrafted rookie that wouldn't have much upside against the Los Angeles Chargers in a short week. If Wentz is healthy enough, he would be a meager QB2 option.
