New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) said he expects to be full recovered in "a little over a month."
Huddle Up: Skattebo had emerged as the team's lead back prior to the injury, and he will likely resume that role in 2026. His hard running style brings injury concerns, but he can be a RB2 when healthy.

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) is making good progress in his recovery from an ankle injury, according to general manager Joe Schoen.
Huddle Up: Skattebo missed a good amount of the season because of the injury but should be ready for training camp and could take part in some offseason workouts. He will likely be the starting running back for the Giants in 2026 and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in leagues.

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) might be ready for OTAs, general manager Joe Schoen said Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Huddle Up: Skattebo suffered a dislocated right ankle in a game in late October. He is on record having said he is hopeful of being ready for training camp. It appears that all systems are go for Skattebo to be more than ready for Week 1. It will be interesting to see how new head coach John Harbaugh uses Skattebo in the team's offensive scheme. Harbaugh liked using a punishing running game in recent years, headed up by Derrick Henry. While Skattebo is no Henry, at least not yet, it could be a bump in production for Skattebo in 2026, barring any setbacks.

Arizona State RB Raleek Brown declared for the 2026 NFL Draft on Tuesday, Dec. 17. He posted 1,141 rushing yards on 186 carries in 2025, including a career-high 255 rushing yards against Colorado, breaking a Sun Devils' single-season record for rushing yards in a road game. It was also the third-best total in school history, behind just current New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (262 - 2024) and former Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin (312 - 2018).

Updating previous reports, New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) suffered a dislocated ankle, fibula fracture and deltoid ligament rupture. He faces a four-to-six-month recovery window, which means he should be ready for OTAs.
Huddle Up: The injury turned stomachs, but it sounds like the rehab isn't complicated. Skattebo will probably be a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 target in drafts next season. For this season, Tyrone Tracy Jr. returns to the forefront as an RB2 option.

Updating a previous report, New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) is scheduled to undergo surgery Sunday, Oct. 26 at a local hospital in the Philadelphia area after suffering a dislocated right ankle in the Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Skattebo appears to be done for the season, but wait to see him officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list before cutting bait in fantasy leagues. He will miss extensive time, and that means Tyrone Tracy Jr. will scoot back to the top of the depth chart, and he should be a big add off the waiver wire. Journeyman Devin Singletary could also see a larger role again, too.

New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo (ankle) caught one pass for 18 yards and one touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 before leaving the game with an ankle injury. He also rushed for 12 yards on three carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Skattebo appeared to have a suffered a serious injury and is unlikely to play again this season. Fantasy players should have a better timetable for Skattebo in the next few days. Tyrone Tracy will probably receive a majority of the snaps at running back while Skattebo is sidelined and can be at least a flex option in leagues.
