Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey is ready to take on more of a role in the offense, according to general manager George Paton. "He's dynamic with the ball in his hands and you saw that at all stages during the season, just him with the ball in his hands and his route-running ability," Paton said. "I thought he improved on first and second down."
Huddle Up: Harvey handled a bulk of the backfield touches after J.K. Dobbins went down with an injury, and while he struggled to run the ball efficiently, he did score 12 total touchdowns and make an impact in the passing game. Dobbins will be back in the mix in 2026 and likely handle some early-down work, but even if Dobbins manages to stay healthy, Harvey should enough touches to be a low-end RB2.

Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham went 17-for-31 for 133 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Stidham also rushed for 23 yards on four carries but did lose a fumble. RB RJ Harvey rushed for 37 yards on 13 carries and also caught four passes for 22 yards on six targets. RB Jaleel McLaughlin rushed for 11 yards on four carries and caught one pass for two yards on two targets. WR Marvin Mims caught four passes for 62 yards on six targets. TE Evan Engram caught two passes for 19 yards on three targets, WR Courtland Sutton caught three passes for 17 yards and one touchdown on five targets, WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught one pass for five yards on three targets and WR Pat Bryant (hamstring) caught one pass for two yards on one target before leaving because of a hamstring injury. LB Alex Singleton recorded four solo tackles and 12 total tackles during the game, while DT D.J. Jones recorded two solo tackles, six total tackles and one and a half sacks.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey is expected to head up the backfield in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 25, against the New England Patriots. RBs Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie are expected to be the backups, as RB J.K. Dobbins (foot) was just not yet ready to return.
Huddle Up: It's a difficult matchup for Harvey and the Broncos tailbacks, as the Patriots allowed just 1,729 rushing yards this season, with 4.2 yards per carry, 11 rushing touchdowns and just nine runs of 20 or more yards, and a single run of 40+ yards. For those in postseason fantasy leagues and DFS, he is simply a mid-tier back for Sunday's matchup, which should be dominated by defense.

Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix completed 26 of his 46 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 33-30 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. He also rushed 12 times for a team-high 29 yards. RB RJ Harvey finished with 20 rushing yards on six carries and caught five passes for 46 yards, and RB Jaleel McLaughlin gained 21 yards on four carries. WR Marvin Mims caught a touchdown while leading the team with both eight receptions and 93 receiving yards. WR Courtland Sutton finished with 53 yards on four receptions, and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey caught two passes for 33 yards and a score. WR Pat Bryant (concussion) had three receptions for 32 yards before exiting the game, and TE Evan Engram caught one pass for seven yards. OT Frank Crum chipped in a seven-yard touchdown catch. On the defensive side of the ball, LB Alex Singleton led the way with a team-high 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops. S Talanoa Hufanga had 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and forced a fumble. S P.J. Locke had nine tackles and an interception, and DE Malcolm Roach had five tackles, 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey faces the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, and the Bills allowed a league-high 24 rushing touchdowns in the regular season while ranking 28th in rushing yards allowed (136.2) and 30th in yards per carry (5.1).
Huddle Up: Harvey's efficiency as a runner has fluctuated, but his usage has been increasing throughout the season. He has logged 11-plus carries in six of his last seven games, and Harvey has scored 11 total touchdowns in his last 11 games. Buffalo has had one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, so Denver could lean on Harvey early and often. He has the potential to be one of top scorers at the running back position in fantasy playoff contests.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey rushed 15 times for 28 yards and caught one pass for five yards in a 19-3 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.
Huddle Up: Harvey couldn't find any running room against the Chargers, but he did lead the backfield in carries and touches. Harvery will headline he Denver rushing attack in the postseason, and he can be a RB2 in fantasy playoff contests.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey rushed 14 times for a game-high 43 yards in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs, while posting five receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown on six targets.
Huddle Up: The second-round pick out of UCF in 2025 storms into the regular-season finale with a five-game touchdown streak, posting five rushing scores and the receiving touchdown on Thursday. His rushing yardage totals have been so-so, and he has run for 3.4 yards per carry (YPC) in six of his past eight games. He remains a solid low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 18 if you league holds its championship then.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey rushed seven times for 50 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 71 yards in a 34-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16.
Huddle Up: Harvey was ripping off big plays throughout the game, but unfortunately for the rookie, the Broncos had to lean on the passing game after falling behind early in the second half. Tasked with a larger role, Harvey is starting to showcase his potential. He has five touchdowns in his last four games, and he has reached 100 total yards in two of his last three outings. Plug him in as a RB2 moving forward.

Denver Broncos RB RJ Harvey (ribs) practiced in full again on Friday, Dec. 19, and he was removed from the practice report ahead of the Week 16 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Huddle Up: Harvey is ready to go, which is the good news, but the bad news is that he'll be facing the Jaguars, who rank No. 1 with just 1,208 rushing yards allowed, 3.9 yards per carry (YPC), 10 touchdowns and four runs of 20+ yards, with zero plays of 40+ yards allowed. Harvey is a player who should be treated more as a RB3 or flex fantasy option.

Denver Broncos LB Justin Strnad (foot) did not practice Friday, Dec. 19, and he is listed as out for Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. OG Ben Powers (biceps) and LB Karene Reid (hamstring) practiced in full, and they're each listed as questionable. WR Pat Bryant (hamstring), DL John Franklin-Myers (rest), RB RJ Harvey (ribs), OT Mike McGlinchey (neck), WR Marvin Mims Jr. (biceps) and C Luke Wattenberg (ankle) practiced in full, and each were removed from the injury report.
