Los Angeles Chargers QB Taylor Heinicke came on and had a 12-yard rush in the Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs after QB Justin Herbert (leg) had to exit the game briefly.

Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (leg) suffered an apparent left knee or leg injury late in the second quarter of the Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was down for a few moments before walking off gingerly, but under his own power. QB Taylor Heinicke came on to replace him.
Huddle Up: Herbert was taken to the blue medical tent to be evaluated after a hard hit from Nick Bolton. It actually didn't appear to be too terrible. It is just speculation, but it might have simply have been a charley horse. When the Chargers officially update Herbert's status, we'll pass it along.

Los Angeles Chargers QB Taylor Heinicke went 2-for-2 for 24 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 after he replaced QB Justin Herbert (ankle).

Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) appears to aggravated his ankle injury during the Week 3 game, and has momentarily been replaced by QB Taylor Heinicke.
Huddle Up: Herbert was a game-time decision entering the game, so there is a good chance that ankle became an issue again. Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see how long Herbert may be sidelined.

Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (ankle) is preparing to play in Week 3's game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers but a final decision about the team's starting quarterback will not be made until after he participates in pregame warmups, according to multiple sources. There is a possibility that the Chargers could have three quarterbacks active for the first time this season: Herbert, Easton Stick and Taylor Heinicke.
Huddle Up: Herbert was listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in just one practice session during the week on a limited basis. If he is active for the game, he would likely have limited mobility due to his high-ankle sprain and would only be a starting option in two-quarterback fantasy leagues.

Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. worked with the backups during minicamp while veteran QB Taylor Heinicke worked with the first team. Starting QB Kirk Cousins (Achilles') is still recovering from an Achilles' injury and did not take part in camp.
Huddle Up: We knew it on draft day, and we still know it now. Penix is ticketed for the bench this year and probably beyond, leaving him exclusively with value in keeper formats for patient owners.
