New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson was one of several players on a "maintenance plan" to build them back up after significant time out of football, beat writer Katherine Terrell said. "I know my body pretty well, I've endured a couple of injuries so I kind of know, but I'm just trying to learn as much as possible and do as much as possible," Tyson said. When he was on the field, he moved around, taking snaps at all three receiver positions.
Huddle Up: Tyson doesn't have to step up and be a WR1, as the team still has Chris Olave in that role. And, Juwan Johnson is a capable and dependable tight end, especially in the red zone. If he can stay healthy, and he jells nicely with Tyler Shough, he might be worth a look as a later round pick as a potential WR4 or flex fantasy option to start.

New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson took snaps at all three receiver positions during rookie minicamp.
Huddle Up: Tyson enters the NFL with some health concerns, but he has plenty of talent and should immediately challenge for the No. 2 receiver job. Tyson can be a flex option with upside in redraft leagues, and he should be one of the first players selected in rookie drafts.

New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson practice fully on Friday, May 8, but the team held him out Saturday, May 9. It was reportedly a planned day off, and not some type of new injury. He dealt with hamstring injuries since the 2025 season, and it's why he did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Huddle Up: The Saints will likely treat their new rookie wideout with kid gloves, trying to preserve him for when practice reps and games actually start to be meaningful. Tyson will be behind Chris Olave for targets from Tyler Shough, but he should be ahead of Devaughn Vele and Mason Tipton, among others, for the WR2 job. For fantasy purposes, Tyson is likely going to be a flex option to start, with a ton of upside. He is especially attractive in long-term keeper formats, especially if Shough continues to develop, too.

New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) did not participate in practice Saturday, May 9, but head coach Kellen Moore said the team planned to hold Tyson out.
Huddle Up: Tyson was dealing with injuries during the draft process, so the Saints will likely be cautious with him during offseason workouts. He is in line for a solid role in the Saints passing game and can be at least a No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues if he can stay healthy.

New Orleans Saints WR Jordyn Tyson has reportedly signed his fully guaranteed four-year deal worth $32.5 million, according to a source on Friday, May 8.
Huddle Up: Tyson was drafted in the first round by the New Orleans Saints and will immediately pair with Chris Olave as a dynamic one-two punch at receiver for second-year QB Tyler Shough. For fantasy purposes, we consider Tyson a WR3 with plenty of upside, as this addition could vault the Saints into an upper-echelon NFL offense, having also added Travis Etienne Jr. at running back in free agency.

Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 8 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Tyson should have every opportunity to become an immediate starter across from Chris Olave, and he gives quarterback Tyler Shough another weapon to work with. Tyson looks like a lock to be a top-five pick in rookie drafts, and while he has some injury concerns, he should be a high-upside WR4 in his first season.
