San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (tightness) is not participating in a second-consecutive practice on Tuesday, Aug. 11, but was working on the field earlier, according to a source.
Huddle Up: McCaffrey does not appear to be dealing with any serious issues, but fantasy players should check on his status later in the week. He was one of the top players in fantasy football last season and will see plenty of touches again this season. He will be one of the first players selected in leagues and is a must-start weekly option.

Huddle Up: McCaffrey logged a league-high 413 touches last year, and the heavy workload more than offset a drop in efficiency running the ball. History says McCaffrey's workload makes him an injury risk, but he will likely finish as a top-five fantasy back if he stays healthy.

Huddle Up: Coming off a year when he led all players in touches, it is not a surprise that the 49ers are doing everything they can to keep McCaffrey as fresh as possible. While there may be some regression after such a heavy workload, McCaffrey's every-down ability gives him top-five upside at the running back position.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 15 of his 27 passes for 140 yards and an interception and rushed five times for 37 yards and lost a fumble in a 41-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round. RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) dealt with a stinger but managed 11 carries for 35 yards and caught five passes for 39 yards, and RB Jordan James added six carries for 28 yards and caught a seven-yard pass. TE Jake Tonges (foot) caught five passes for a team-high 59 yards before exiting with a foot injury, and WR Jauan Jennings had two grabs for 23 yards. WR Ricky Pearsall and WR Kendrick Bourne were both targeted twice, but neither caught a pass, and WR Demarcus Robinson gained a yard on his only catch. LB Dee Winters tied for the team lead with nine tackles, including three tackles for loss, and LB Eric Kendricks also had nine stops. S Malik Mustapha chipped in eight tackles and a sack.

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (stinger) returned to the Divisional Round game against the Seattle Seahawks after exiting with a stinger.
Huddle Up: It looks like McCaffrey will try to play through the injury, but it remains to be seen if it will impact his effectiveness. Regardless, it looks like McCaffrey avoided any type of long-term injury.

Huddle Up: The exact nature of the injury remains to be seen, but Brian Robinson Jr. should handle of a bulk of the backfield duties as long as McCaffrey is sidelined.
