Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 8, because of soreness. Head coach Ron Rivera said the team is being cautious with Samuel.
Huddle Up: Samuel struggled with injuries last season, so he may not be on the field again until training camp. He can be a good slot receiver for Washington if he can stay healthy and could be a late round option in fantasy leagues.

Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel "can play everywhere" in the offense, according to offensive coordinator Scott Turner said. "We did some of that stuff last year in the limited time he was on the field," Turner said.
Huddle Up: Samuel's first season with Washington was ruined by injuries, but in 2020, he topped 1,000 total yards while being used as a runner and receiver by Carolina. If the Commanders are committed to utilizing his versatility, he could be a sneaky WR3.

Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel said he's 100 percent healthy when asked recently. "Oh no, I am great," Samuel replied. "I'm great. Y'all seen me flying around out there."
Huddle Up: Samuel's first season in Washington was plagued by injury, leading to his appearing in just five games. He's a WR3 with WR2 upside if the Commanders utilize his versatile skill set.

Washington Football Team WR Curtis Samuel (hamstring) is not active for Week 17's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Huddle Up: Samuel had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited participant in all three of Washington's practice sessions during the week but he will miss his 11th game of the season this afternoon. He has been a non-factor in the offense this season, with only six catches on nine targets over five games, and would not have been a recommended fantasy option even if he was completely healthy. WRs Adam Humphries and Cam Sims could see more targets in his absence but should be viewed as nothing more than potential flex options in deeper fantasy formats.
