Huddle Up: Kittle is once again expected to be among the best fantasy options at his position. He'll look to re-discover the end zone in Week 2 on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle's 2022 salary of $11.45 million became guaranteed Thursday, April 1.
Huddle Up: It was a lost year for Kittle in 2020, but he'll remain one of the top-three TE options in this year's drafts.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle finished with 48 catches for 634 yards in eight games in 2020, and his 79.25 receiving yards per game ranked second among tight ends.
Huddle Up: Kittle still managed to finish in the top 10 in receiving yards at his position despite missing half the season and dealing with a quarterback carousel. He is a top-three fantasy option at the tight end position heading into the 2021 season.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught four passes for 92 yards against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. He was targeted five times during the game.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) will start in Week 16's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: With the Niners not having much to play for after being eliminated from playoff contention, Kittle will see his first game action since Week 8, although he is expected to see a limited number of offensive snaps. That being said, he is still worthy of consideration for fantasy lineups as long as owners don't have either Travis Kelce or Darren Waller.

Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: Head coach Kyle Shanahan stated Thursday that his stud tight end will be on "somewhat of a pitch count." With San Francisco already eliminated from the playoffs and Kittle not having played since Week 8, fantasy owners need to calculate whether the risk of getting potentially 30 to 40 snaps from Kittle gives them more upside than a full complement of snaps from their other option(s) at the position. Generally speaking, Kittle is worth considering if owners don't have Travis Kelce or Darren Waller on their roster(s).

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) was cleared to return prior to Week 15, but the team decided against playing him in order to give him a full week of practice. According to comments made by general manager John Lynch on Thursday, Dec. 24, all signs point toward Kittle returning to action in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: Although the team does not have to disclose what Kittle's practice status has been this week because he is still on IR, the implication is that he is a full participant. Fantasy owners should know for sure Friday, as Kittle has to be activated by then or sit out Saturday's game. With it now looking extremely likely he will play and see his usual complement of snaps, Kittle is probably a top-three option this week.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) has 'a chance' of playing in Week 16 versus the Arizona Cardinals, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
'If he's good, I plan on him playing,' Shanahan told NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.
Huddle Up: Kittle made it known he intended to return this season shortly after suffering his foot injury and it appears he's going to have a shot to do so. The likelihood is that his snap count would be somewhat limited, but Shanahan is sharp enough to maximize those plays even if that ends up being the case. Fantasy owners would be taking a big risk in starting him in the fantasy finals if he is active, but it is also hard to argue with him being considered anything lower than the overall TE3 anytime he is active.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) will not play in the Week 15 game, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Huddle Up: Kittle was cleared to practice this week but probably will need more practice time before he is ready to play. Jordan Reed will continue to be the main tight end for the 49ers but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) was participating 'in some capacity' at practice Thursday, Dec. 17.
Huddle Up: NFL teams do not have to disclose the practice participation of players on the Reserve/Injured list, so this is about as much as most information as fantasy owners are going to get for now. While it remains highly unlikely Kittle will return this week, it means he has a decent chance to make it back for Week 16. Stay tuned.
