Huddle Up: This is a pivotal year for him and the organization. Now 29 and coming off a season of persistent hamstring injuries, he has something to prove. Does that outweigh the downside of losing some rushing potential in fantasy, though? His legs are what made him a perennial top-three option at the position, and as he nears 30, you have to wonder if he loses a step there soon. He's a top-five candidate in fantasy, but the position has strengthened to where you can take a younger option, like Drake Maye or Bo Nix last season, and do well.

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson's restructured contract includes a $49.95 million signing bonus, a base salary of $1.3 million for the 2026 season and a $750,000 workout bonus, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. A voidable year and no-tag clause are also part of the deal, which will keep Jackson under contract through the end of the 2027 season. He will make a total of $52 million in 2026 but his salary cap number will fall by $39.96 million this year before rising to $84.49 million in 2027.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson restructured his contract Tuesday, March 10, while the team was working to acquire DE Maxx Crosby. Terms weren't disclosed. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the deal created $40 million in salary cap space.
Huddle Up: Jackson is a risky option you'll likely have to take in the top handful of options to acquire. Last year was a lost season due to hamstring issues. At 29, and in a new direction of the team, you have to wonder if his running will be scaled back. If that happens, his value drops to the upper-middle QB1 range.

Huddle Up: Yes, injuries limited Jackson to 13 games, but he played in just 12 games in both 2021 and 2022 but topped 700 rushing yards in both of those seasons. There is a chance that a fully healthy Jackson is back to his old self next season, but the drop in rushing production is something worth considering when deciding when to target Jackson in fantasy drafts.

The big question for 2026 is whether Jackson, who has missed significant time in three of the last five seasons, will continue to be as aggressive running the football after he rushed for a career-low 349 yards. Without the running, Jackson's fantasy outlook could look dramatically different.

Huddle Up: Both sides were unsuccessful at finalizing an extension last summer but it appears as though Baltimore is committed to keeping him for years to come. Despite missing four games this season due to back and hamstring injuries, Jackson should continue to be viewed as a midrange QB1 option in all fantasy leagues when he is healthy.
