Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines is a player fantasy owners should consider drafting, head coach Frank Reich said Wednesday, May 25.
Huddle Up: While Reich was having a little fun with his comments, Hines has been talked up by the coaching staff throughout the offseason. Jonathan Taylor is going to handle a bulk of the carries, but Hines could be busy in the passing game with Matt Ryan now under center. He has flex potential in PPR formats.

Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines likely will see more snaps as a slot receiver next season, according to general manager Chris Ballard.
Huddle Up: Hines was used in the running and passing game in 2021 and has caught at least 40 passes in all four years of his career. He should be able to improve on his stats next season and could be a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.

Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines is expected to have a 'much bigger role' next season with Matt Ryan at quarterback, according to head coach Frank Reich.
Huddle Up: Carson Wentz has rarely targeted his running backs throughout his career and this comment seems to suggest Reich knew as much (or quickly learned) early last season. As it turns out, let the record show that Wentz entered last season targeting his running backs at a nine percent clip. On the other hand, Ryan's old club (the Atlanta Falcons) targeted running backs on 25 percent of their throws in 2021. While Jonathan Taylor will continue to be the focal point of the Colts' offense, expect Hines to be worth flex consideration in 2022.

Huddle Up: Hines has received less than 10 touches in each of the last four games, but his 56 total yards were his most during that span. He can be avoided in most leagues unless Jonathan Taylor suffers an injury at some point.

Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines rushed for 12 yards on two carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. He also caught two passes for 17 yards during the game.

Indianapolis Colts RB Nyheim Hines ran six times for 74 yards and a touchdown Thursday, Nov. 4, vs. the New York Jets in Week 9. He added 34 yards on four of six targets.
Huddle Up: Jacksonville comes to town in Week 10, and Hines is a fringe flex play in PPR scoring due to low volume. He has, however, a good matchup, and there's a decent chance Indy gets up big enough to tack on a few more carries to his tally.
