New York Giants WR Darius Slayton could be behind several other pass-catchers in the Giants' receiver pecking order, as Slayton suited up for their preseason game against the Miami Dolphins while WRs Malachi Fields, Darnell Mooney, and Braxton Berrios were all given the day off, in the opinion of ESPN's Jordan Raanan on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Huddle Up: Slayton earned six targets and caught four passes for 58 yards, so it's curious to see Slayton get so much time. There could be something to this, but to be fair, we weren't drafting Slayton in fantasy anyway. It'll be interesting to see how a room like this with so many options shakes out when the rosters are trimmed to 53. That said, ignore Slayton in fantasy drafts, but Fields and even Mooney are worthwhile dart throws in very deep fantasy formats.

New York Giants WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Braxton Berrios, Isaiah Hodgins, and Odell Beckham Jr. are likely competing for one spot, according to ESPN's Jordan Raaman, though he adds that a second spot could initially be available depending on the health of WR Malik Nabers (knee).
Huddle Up: Raaman states that there are four locks -- Nabers, Darnell Mooney, Malachi Fields, and Calvin Austin III -- so despite some residual name value for guys like Beckham and Smith-Schuster, nobody in this group is worth targeting in fantasy drafts as it would likely take multiple injuries for them to see meaningful action on Sundays.
