Impending free-agent WR Allen Lazard (Packers) agreed to a four-year deal with the New York Jets, according to. source Tuesday, March 14. The contract is worth up to $44 million with $22 million guaranteed.
Huddle Up: Lazard's signing could be a precursor to the inevitable Aaron Rodgers news. If Rodgers joins the Jets, Lazard could have some WR3 value as he works alongside phenom Garrett Wilson. However, if Rodgers doesn't ultimately go to New York, Lazard should be viewed more in the WR4/5 range.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has indicated that he would like the New York Jets to attempt to sign free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Rams) and impending free-agents WR Allen Lazard (Packers), WR Randall Cobb (Packers) and TE Marcedes Lewis (Packers) before making a decision on a possible trade to the Jets, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The Jets have been linked to Lazard, Cobb and Lewis recently, so it seems like they are looking to help Rodgers make his decision easier. Rodgers can be a low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he accepts a trade to the Jets.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Allen Lazard has the New York Jets and another team hot on his trail to sign him, according to sources.
Huddle Up: The fantasy WR3 had 60 catches for 688 yards and six TDs last year, and he could build on that in New York.

Green Bay Packers impending free-agent WR Allen Lazard is waiting to see where QB Aaron Rodgers ends up, as it could be a factor in Lazard's landing spot in free agency, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported on Sunday, March 12.
Huddle Up: With Rodgers looking likely to be on his way out in Green Bay, Lazard becomes a player to watch for whatever team acquires the future Hall of Famer if he decides not to retire, as we know how much Rodgers prefers veteran receivers who he's familiar with. The New York Jets, who appear to be front-runners to land Rodgers, could use a veteran at the position even if he doesn't go to the Big Apple. After a disappointing season as the No. 1 receiver in Green Bay, Lazard will enter 2023 as mid-range WR2. However, he could receive a bump to the higher end of that spectrum depending on where he signs. Reuniting with Rodgers would put him on the higher end of that scale.

The Green Bay Packers are attempting to re-sign WR Allen Lazard before free agency opens, according to league sources. However, the situation could be dependent upon whether the Packers are able to trade QB Aaron Rodgers because the team is currently $8.5 million over the salary cap.
Huddle Up: The 27-year-old Lazard had a career-high 60 receptions for 788 yards in 2022, along with six touchdowns. Assuming that he returns to Green Bay next season, he can be viewed as a WR3 or flex option in most 2023 fantasy leagues, regardless of whether Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love is the starting quarterback.
